Absolutely defies logic that sequence of decisions.
Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 1: Teams and Game Day
Cummins. You couldn’t script that referee stuff up any better.
Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 1: Teams and Game Day
Same ref. Same ground. Same place on the field. To the day

Looked pretty wobbly to me, he should be off for an hia in 2 mins time.

Shock horror... it’s Ben Cummins with another absurdly **** call.
Thankfully the captains challenge exists.

Barnett penalised for being perfectly square at marker and making a legitimate tackle.

Cummins couldn't get closer to that grounding and still wanted to check it

Agree with Cummins. Sharks should have suffered the same ruling last night.

Tuala having such a shocker he’d be moved on in the off season if Ricky coached knights.

What an anti-climax for Knights fans in 2020. Gotta hurt.
Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 1: Teams and Game Day
Every time I see a try like that I remember how a few years back Croker was not only denied a try in the exact same circumstances, he was penalised for a double movement.

Knight finish the game well as they started. If not for the 60 mins in between they've been very good.

Worst part about was the bunker made the call after watching multiple replays.

I think that it was technically correct, but I had never seen it ruled before, and never since.Northern Raider wrote:Worst part about was the bunker made the call after watching multiple replays.
Cook's ball carrying arm was in contact with the ground while Best was in contact with Cook. Applying the same rule, Cook was tackled.

Seriously, who knows. It's like the obstruction call. Changes so many times you don't know which decisions are right and wrong anymore.Dr Zaius wrote: ↑October 4, 2020, 5:08 pmI think that it was technically correct, but I had never seen it ruled before, and never since.Northern Raider wrote:Worst part about was the bunker made the call after watching multiple replays.

The Panthers are going to have a dream run to the Grand Final, neither the Rabbitohs nor the Eels are serious contenders.
If the Raiders are to win this premiership, they’re going to have to do it the hard way. Roosters at the SCG, Storm at Lang Park and then the Panthers at Stadium Australia.

Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 1: Teams and Game Day
No easy path. In finals that's what it should be really. That's why the top 4 finish and a week 1 win is so important. You get a week off and no travel. If you make the GF you've had a perfect prep.greeneyed wrote: ↑October 4, 2020, 5:49 pm The Panthers are going to have a dream run to the Grand Final, neither the Rabbitohs nor the Eels are serious contenders.

At least the Raiders have become seasoned travellers this year. If anybody can do it it's our boys.

I hope that is the last game Cummins has refereed this year.

Re: 2020 NRL Finals Week 1: Teams and Game Day
agreed and i think the winner is going to come from this side of the draw. Whoever comes out of this will be battle tested and ready for the intensityNorthern Raider wrote: ↑October 4, 2020, 6:02 pmNo easy path. In finals that's what it should be really. I could be wrong and maybe the panthers just keep blowing teams out of the damn water, which if we lose, is what ill be pulling for... but i think IF we can get past this roosters game (and im not confident) then we're a REAL chance

He was diabolical and I think his grand final stuff up has affected his refereeing and confidence all year.

I think the technical expression is “fired into the ocean via catapult”yeh raiders wrote:He is a deadset lemon. Cannot stand him, he has been the worst referee for over a decade. Unbelievable that he hasn’t already been punted into oblivion.

Sounds like a segment.Northern Raider wrote:You could start a new thread. Ganger's Dad Jokes.
