Cooper got brushed off several times by the smallest blokes on the field. That roster needs a bit of a refresh and/or a new coach.

The Roosters are on another level.
I agree...in attack anyway. But the Cowboys are the softest team in the competition. They've been getting absolutely lapped besides one very weird performance from Newcastle where they looked like they could roll over at any point in that second half.

Green should have been gone ages ago. And they are without their best playmaker. But **** they are so so so so so so so soft. The post contact metres and easy linebreaks from Easts were inexcusable.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

How dumb was that challenge by the Gold Coast. Even if he hadn’t gone into touch he passed the ball off the ground.

I reckon there might be just as many dangerous mid air contests, as there are mid air tackles on the attacking team. At least when there’s a tackle involved, there is an element of control.

terrible refereeing both from on field (0 penalties all game?) and from the box(they were robbed of the hetherington try and would have been 18-0 up)

Maumolo clearly tackled in the air too. Still a poor performance from the Warriors after a decent start.

Titans now the best QLD team Image

Gee Lattrell should get a few weeks for that! Reynolds kick looked accidental and then coming back to check the welfare of Campbell Graham and Lattrell collects him with a swinging arm to the jaw.

Latrell lucky to stay on the field after that swinging arm... he’ll be cited for that

Latrell Mitchell should have been sent off for that imo. The Reynolds incident was an accident and Latrell follows it up with a typical brain snap dog shot.

I think in the moment it would have been hard to send Latrell off and and keep the guy who kicked a man in the head on the park

Accidentally or not, he did kick the guy and his actions were very careless and dangerous
I’d have binned them both

Just saw the highlights for the Rabbitohs Tigers game. Had to rewind a couple of times to work out what happenned with the Mitchell incident, surely Mitchell was sent off for running in and punching a guy in the head or was that part just skipped in the highlights?

Well he got 4 weeks for throwing an arm out in frustration last week. It was more stupidity or frustration. Lattrell deliberately went after Reynolds and smacked him across the chops. It would be a joke if he got anything less than four weeks. Pig raised the issue last night saying it would have been wrong to send Lattrell off while Reynolds stayed on the field but IMO Reynolds should have been sinbinned and Lattrell sent off - the fact that didn't happen should mean Lattrell faces a harsher penalty. I can't understand why he wasn't even put on report for that incident.

The one punch, you’re off the field rule has been in place for a while now. There was an initial period where players were exploiting the rule by slapping or open-palm striking, but that has also rightfully classed as a punch.

I think to have the one punch rule with some kind of clause where it doesn’t apply if it is in retaliation, in which a player is then a free target for anyone to come and run in from a distance with a swinging arm to punch in the head sets a VERY ugly precedent for the game. I’m sure whilst not being reported, Mitchell will still answer to the judiciary, however it should have been dealt with in game.

Separately, while I believe the initial kick to the players head was incidental, contact with the head is contact with the head, so that is also reportable. I have the Mitchell incident as worse though, because he no doubt had intent as well as having the contact to the head.

Agreed Sid. I think it is another case of a high profile player being treated differently to others and also the worst ref in the game.

Some of those calls were baffling. Giving the tigers their first penaltyin the 39th minute, then bunker called Gagai's knock on before halftime a knock back and then Murray as not offside. If that is a knock back then the 75th minute no try (Tigers knock on from a kick) has to be a knock back. I hate the lack of consistency in the NRL, even worse when it happens in the same game.

Latrell was involved in 2 seperate head high shots last night. If he’s not missing at least 2 weeks, they’re having a laugh.

I'd say his high tackle was relatively minor. I would say Grade 2 careless (200 points) but expect a soft response and he'll get a Grade 1 (100 points).

Coward Punch on Reynolds a different matter. BJ got a Grade 3 Dangerous Contact Neck/Head which was 500 Points. Guilty please reduced this to 400 which is 4 matches. Latrell's incident is at least on par so 4 weeks minimum. Again I expect them to go soft and it will be Grade 1 or 2 (100 or 300 points). As such both charged combined could potentially see latrell miss only 1 week.

these sorts of games are why im still VERY bullish on TPJ
Granted the Dogs are no great shakes but this sort of game is what he's capable and few forwards in the world can do this. I dont think his stats will be particularly impressive but he's impacted this game tremendously.
