It's a timely pick up for the Knights as it means Mann can shift to hooker. Green is better suited as 2IC playmaker as well.

Warriors weren't planning on him coming back next year and this season is a wash for them. So they are comfortable offloading early.

Nathan Brown set to be announced as new Warriors coach

Former Newcastle boss Nathan Brown is expected to make his return to coaching in the NRL as the new coach of the embattled Warriors. The Warriors sacked Stephen Kearney in June and have been searching for a replacement for the last few weeks. Former Cowboys coach Paul Green and the Walker brothers had both been touted as possible candidates for the role.

Seems cruel and unusual after the year they’ve had to let Phil Gould make next year worse

brown is a very good builder of club structures and a decent talent identifier.

I'd like to see him as our talent recruitment guru some time down the track

Brown got a reputation as a good rebuilder after getting the Knights back on track after being gutted by Bennett and Tinkler. Once he built a strong squad he then enhanced his reputation and being a 2nd rate coach. Couldn't really compete at the next level.

Warriors definitely need the former right now.

Nathan Brown, Phil Gould officially link with New Zealand Warriors

The Warriors' search for a coach is over, with Nathan Brown formally announced to take the helm until the end of 2023.

Brown's signing was one of two made by the Warriors on Saturday - the club also announced Phil Gould's appointment as a club-wide consultant.

Nathan Brown is this generations Matt Elliott, such a safe selection would have preferred the Walker brothers to be given a shot. Their style would suit the Warriors players down to the ground. Instead expect dour second row signings and a promises to concentrate on the basics.

Brett Finch under investigation for potential COVID breach

The NRL is investigating a possible biosecurity breach by new Warriors consultant and ex-NRL half Brett Finch just one week after he joined the Kiwi club's COVID-19 bubble.

Finch was brought into the Warriors bubble by coach Todd Payten last week in an advisory role and joined the interim coach in the coach's box for Friday's tight loss to Penrith.

What's everyone's thoughts on this story that the NRL are saying Vodafone can't sponsor the Warriors anymore, due to Telstra being the code sponsor?

Given their sponsorship is long standing and apparently existed before Telstra... according to 100% Footy... I think it is pretty poor. Very unfortunate for a club that isn't that well off, to boot.

All good, the big T back-pedalled.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

The Warriors aren't going to go on a winning streak any time soon and Todd Payten isn't going to turn things around while they're based in Australia during these times..
Haha oh boy, this post aged well, didn't it??
