Titans stun Broncos with comeback trial win

Gold Coast’s rebuild under new coach Justin Holbrook showed promising early signs on Saturday night with a 28-22 victory over a disappointing Brisbane outfit at Redcliffe’s Dolphin Oval.

The Broncos raced to a 16-0 lead within 23 minutes, but the spirited Titans scored five consecutive tries in 26 minutes to wrestle back control of the game before both coaches began to rest some of their star players.

Mbye suffers knee strain as Wests Tigers beat Warriors

A knee strain suffered by Wests Tigers utility Moses Mbye took some of the gloss off an otherwise impressive 20-6 win over the Warriors in Sunday's trial in Rotorua.

Wests Tigers 20 (Nofoaluma 2, Reynolds, Brooks tries; Marshall 1 goal) defeated New Zealand Warriors 6 (Maumalo try; Nikorima 1 goal)
