44th min PENALTY GOAL EELS to Mitch Moses. The rain and wind we had this afternoon in Canberra is hitting western Sydney right now.

46th min Marty Taupau head high tackle on Ray Stone. It'll be a sin binning at least. Stone is being stretchered off. He could be in some real trouble in the judiciary. It is a sin binning and on report. That was flush on the jaw.

PENALTY GOAL EELS to Mitch Moses.

48th min TRY SEA EAGLES to Manase Fainu, the bunker confirms he's grounded it under the posts. They score with only 12 men. Garrick converts.

54th min TRY EELS to Maika Sivo. That was an incredible chase, great Dylan Brown grubber and Sivo just grounds it in the corner. The crowd chants his name. No conversion, hits the upright.

58th min TRY SEA EAGLES to The Eels strip the ball and should have been penalised. They then allow play to proceed, it is stripped by Fainu from an Eels player and knocked on... it is allowed to proceed again, kicked ahead by Fainu and he "scores". Garrick converts.

Eels 22-14

Crowd reported at over 25,000.

Fainu wasn't stripped of that ball... he threw it away. The referees are giving Manly lots of opportunity here!

Now they give the Sea Eagles another penalty in the red zone. It is probably fair, markers not square.

Seriously this match has been a farce in so many ways! Both teams doing their best to lose and the refereeing has been ridiculous! Paulo knocks on on his own 20m line now! When they're playing with 12 men!

Now the referees penalise Manly for not standing to play the ball five metres out... when the Eels are holding on. It is that sort of game.

72nd min TRY EELS to Maika Sivo in the corner. They have 12 men still, but they score off the back of a penalty. Good pass Brown to set it in motion. They're chanting "Sivo... Sivo... Sivo". No conversion from the sideline from Moses.

They've been consistent for years. You can't put the ball down before getting to your feet. If you do and **** up, it's on you regardless of what the opposition are doing

79th min TRY EELS to Maika Sivo. He gets a hat trick! Big pass to the left from Moses to switch play. Great offload from Jennings. Sivo goes to the top of the try scoring list. Mitch Moses converts.

Parramatta Eels 32 defeated Manly Sea Eagles 16

Sivo bags a hat-trick as Eels leapfrog Manly into fifth spot

A hat-trick to winger Maika Sivo helped the Eels avenged their loss seven weeks ago to the Sea Eagles and ended a two-match losing streak with a 32-16 win at Western Sydney Stadium to start the NRL finals with some momentum.

His opponent went off on a stretcher.

The NRL should grow some balls on foul play and send them off.

Very average game.

Storm set sail for semis after taking care of Cowboys

The Melbourne Storm finished their finals preparation with a typically clinical 24-16 victory over North Queensland but the minor premiers were made to work hard by the feisty Cowboys.
