26th min TRY ROOSTERS to Daniel Tupou, Josh Morris gets the pass away and Tupou is the extra man. Just grounds it inside the sideline. Latrell MItchell converts from the sideline.

Roosters 8-6

Yes terrible call. Could have been an amazing finish to the game with a glorious Dragons choke.

I wanted the try because **** the dragons. But that was the correct call on the last pass imo.
I'll take your word for it as I didn't see a good angle of it.

The bunker would have viewed it 12 times for some other sides, looking for a reason not to give it.

34th min TRY ROOSTERS to Joseph Manu. The Roosters throwing some dodgy forward passes, not picked up. The bunker took an age to award it. Latrell Mitchell cannot convert, hooked it. The Roosters have had 65 per cent possession.

The crowd at Adelaide Oval has swelled, and looks more decent... but no seats sold in the upper tiers.

38th min TRY STORM to Brody Croft. Croft's kick is touched by Tedesco, the ball rebounds everywhere and Croft dives on it. Cameron Smith converts.

Fifteen minutes into the second half... and this match somehow lacks something. Doesn't have the intensity of a Grand Final rematch. Still level at 12-12.

Big penalty to the Roosters, considering the whistle has been in the pocket for a while.

So a minute to go and Morris is trying to strip the ball and Cam Smith literally tackles Morris (the defender) to stop him from stripping the ball. Why is he allowed to do that?

Come one. Players come into a ruck to assist their own players in possession constantly!

Good game overall but I got the sense that both sides were holding back a little, not wanting to fully show their hand.

No Keary but I can't understand them playing Mitchell at 5/8. He's not a half.

They really miss Friend. Radley is horrible out of dummy half.

They really don't.

In a try scoring situation if the teammate of the attacking player touches or obstructs a defender it's a penalty to the defending team.

Certainly wasn't a classic match. The second half was a grind. But it lacked intensity somehow.

They really do. It happens all the time, to stop the player in possession being driven back. All the time.

No. They generally grab a hold of their own teammate to stop the momentum, same as when a player is being dragged over the sideline. You cannot make deliberate contact with a defender or deliberately impede a defender.

Yeah that’s right and I actually thought Hutchinson played well the other week at 5/8.

Ended up carrying L.Lam on the bench for 75 minutes which was also odd.

Would’ve loved to have seen Latrell line up against Chambers again.

GE

In the rules of the game.....

Lending weight

It is permissible for a player to "lend weight to a teammate in possession in order to avoid losing ground.

1. It is not permissible for the player lending weight to impede a defender from making a tackle.

Player misconduct
A player is guilty of misconduct if he:
....
5. Unnecessarily contacts a player not in possession or a kicker.

Paul Gallen... awful person, awful commentator, drug cheat, rips off people's bandages to grapple with their wounds, part of the salary cap cheating Sharks. Let's talk about that gerg!

All I really care about is the Roosters lost and the Raiders have a chance to go second!
