Id like to firstly congratulate all our boys who are playing rep footy next weekend.

And secondly, don't get hurt.

CNK, Havili, Taps, JordyRapa, Jack and Papa.

I'll be watching the Women's Origin, NZvTonga test and Origin on Sunday..

As much as I am happy for those guys to get selected, and disappointed for them that they cant play, as a Raiders fan I couldn't be happier that they are ruled out. The weekend off for many of our team could not have come at a better time.

I think its fair to pull Rapana, looks nowhere near 100%, Surprised Tapine has been pulled though, TBH I thought he could do with the game time.
Interesting to hear Stuart say that the club comes first, does he mean before any rep football or just before international games? Papalii has had a massive workload over the last few weeks i'm pretty sure he could do with a week off way more than Tapine but I suppose SOO is held in much higher regard....

That’s absolutely my feeling too.

Everyone loves the idea of this rep round, but all it’s going to take is an ACL to a star player in one of the ‘minor’ tests and it’ll be the end of it. A bit like how Joey and Barrett doing long term injuries in the same game was when City/Country stopped being a genuine origin trial.
Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is just the train that's about to hit you.

I think in theory it's for any game, but practically it's only for one off tests and all stars.

Canberra Raiders fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad ruled out of Cook Islands squad

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is the newest member of the Canberra Raiders casualty ward with a hamstring strain robbing the Cook Islands of the star fullback.

"I'm hoping that's the end of my [injuries]. They say they come in threes, I've had three injuries this year so hopefully that's the end of it, Jordan Rapana said after being ruled out for the Kiwis.

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (hamstring) has been ruled out of the Cook Islands' World Cup qualifier against South Africa on Friday, while Raiders forward Reuben Porter has been cleared for the Kukis. Nicoll-Klokstad won’t miss any NRL matches.

Siliva Havili has been cleared for Tonga's Saturday Test match against the New Zealand Kiwis. Jordan Rapana and Joe Tapine were ruled out of the Kiwis squad yesterday.

Honestly, all three of those guys getting pulled off the representative round weekend makes sense to me.

They all have niggling injuries or aren't 100% and we just can't risk more injuries to this team.

Josh Papalii makes sense to play Origin as he's just a machine and is still so fit with no niggles, but hopefully Kevvie Walters still pulls him off just before halftime. He's well and truly earned it. Jack Wighton will probably play the full game in Perth, but hopefully circumstances will allow Ricky Stuart to pull him off at some stage late in the Eels game.

You're kidding, right? Both Rapana and Tapine still look busted, I feel like they were both rushed back a week or two early. And the last few weeks CNK has REALLY looked banged up.

You must be having a larf to suggest those three blokes are 100% fit and up to rep duty!

Who's ever at 100% Nickman ?

Sure..We have some players who are busted/tired. I get that.

Check out the round 15 injury update. Posted by GE yesterday. Tell me what's up with Rapana.

Rapana needs a spell mate, he's only just limping through first grade right now. Even Blind Freddie the Blues Coach could see that he's not up to test football and could do with another week off.

Tarps and CNK are in the same boat.

At the end of the day the boys are getting a rest. We've had a fantastic 14 weeks and they deserve it.

Just a question for you though.

Do you agree that the NZ selectors/coach/ballboy ect would have checked the availability of their players BEFORE announcing their squad..ill go with yes. And if that's the case maybe Ricky came in over the top and ruled them out.

This a professional sport, the Kiwis would have done a ring around surely !!

Dunamis Lui puts Canberra Raiders ahead of Samoa

The phone call Dunamis Lui made to put club over country will remain one of the toughest of his career but he hopes it can help the Canberra Raiders ignite a premiership bid. Injury forced the Raiders front-rower to withdraw from the Samoan side to play Papua New Guinea Saturday night.

"My ankle, my wrist, my shoulder. I pretty much got ruled out straight after our game last week.

Tapine doesn't look busted at all to me , if anything he looks short of a gallop.
Rapana I would agree doesn't look any where near 100%

I can't disagree... we've not really been given any reasons about the injuries by the club, however... any reasons out there have just sort of leaked out slowly. No official injury reports.

Reading through those team lists there is a good number of recognisable NRL players in all teams with the exception of South Africa. I figure SA is very much Rugby dominated and league is probably a very secondary sport but I’m wondering if it might be the next untapped market for us to raid? We led the way on importing kiwis in the 90’s and every other club in the NRL will be scouting the UK after our current recruitment success. Maybe we can find a few hard running Saffers, teach them how to play the ball and see what they look like in green? 🤔

I have no problem with it either mate..it's a chance for the boys to rest up !!

But cmon, you and I both know those 3 aren't injured ?
They are carrying injuries.
Several players are carrying niggly injuries, others moreso.

This break came at the right time
