Why wouldn’t I be? NSW has absolutely dominated Queensland and thoroughly deserve the win. The referees have been completely fine

I don’t view origin games any different than I view raiders games or any other game of rugby league

Bring on Game 3, we’ll be better for it. I’m actually glad this was a smashing

Because Queensland needs to be better, and they’ll realise they need to be better and after this smashing NSW will crow like they’ve already won the series

It’s exactly what Queensland needs

Blues crush Maroons in Perth to keep Origin series alive

After a week of intense criticism and questioning, Brad Fittler's controversial selections, and non-selections, have been justified after NSW kept the series alive with an emphatic 38-6 win against Queensland in Perth on Sunday night. The Maroons were totally outclassed and out-enthused by a NSW team that had spent an entire week working on working harder.

How Jack Wighton reached out to Canberra Raiders captain Jarrod Croker for tips on mastering centre

As Jack Wighton prepared for his left-centre cameo on Sunday night in Origin II, he quickly reached out to his Canberra captain for a few pointers on mastering the position.

"We're good mates, we've played so much footy together. He's such a great guy. I know how much it means to him. I was so proud of him the first time he was selected. I'm not a coach but I had a feeling he'd be in the starting side somewhere [for Perth].

No rocks or diamonds for Jack tonight. Pretty much mistake free apart from the penalty try and nothing outstanding - just a very solid performance. He holds the jumper for game 3 in my eyes.

Exactly. Just because a team gets the penalties doesn't mean they are being favoured.
I think there are few rugby league fans that understand this concept. The notion that the penalty count should be equal is ridiculous

Well done Jack for a very good game. It was night and day in terms of that performance and Mitchell's. I'd say he will be in the side for a long time now.

Papa had a tough night but it must be tough when he is basically their only decent prop. They really need Arrow back.

Maloney man of the match for mine.

NSW speed in the backs really troubled Queensland.

Much better ball movement by NSW compared game 1.

I imagine because if it is close it glosses over some of the weaknesses in QLD’s game. Coupled with the pride that they normally play with you won’t see them play this bad two games on a row.

Sent from my iPhone using The Greenhouse mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Yup, absolutely. Queensland will fire up for Game 3 and NSW will carry on for two weeks like they’ve already won the series

It’s a win/win

Funny how quick you go from roosters to feather dusters - some big question marks over a few players in maroon now. Morgan’s not a centre, Hunt gives away too much to Cook, McGuire is a grub that doesn’t offer much. I suspect Qld will stick but I think it will cost them. I’d say the rain helped Qld. On a dry track Carr, Turbo and Teddy are unstoppable.

Qld weren't on tonight. They just weren't for whatever reason. They're a better team than that, and they'll fight back.

I wasn't too fussed if Nathan Cleary stayed or went.

Maloney on the other hand - absolute stinker of a decision to leave him out given his overall class and how influential he was last year. He's comfortably the best halves NSW have got and with only a few exceptions should be picked in every game he's available for.

I'd think about resting Papa or at least reducing his minutes vs Eels. He looked a bit tired in that first stint.

Yeah he has been immense all year and he did seem a bit sluggish at times tonight but had a fair crack. We should have players coming back to allow us to manage him if needed

Out of curiosity, if the penalty try wasn’t awarded, was the alternative a penalty and Jack in the bin for 10 minutes? I imagine the penalty try is the lesser penalty of those two scenarios?

It didn't really matter tonight as there starting pack (did Napa actually play?)was destroyed but qld need some better bench options , surely they can't win with a bench makeup of Mbye, Wallace and Glasby,

Yeah totally. This has been Wallace 4th origin and he just simply isn’t up to it. Why Kevin picked him along side Glasby was just strange. No fire power there to keep the roll on going. Napa or Papilii really needed to be one of the interchange players wth that bench line up

Yes, It would be interesting if you gave the opposition the choice of penalty try or man in the bin. What way teams would go.

Does Coen Hess offer anything? I thought he burst onto the scene like a champ but he doesn’t seem to be a world beater there days. Agree they need more though - some plodders out there tonight in maroon.
