You've really got to wonder. Refs clearly favoured QLD in game 1 and then balancing it up tonight.

Freddie's call on Mitchell looks pretty good now.

58th min TRY BLUES to Josh Addo Carr, following the kick through. The Blues have had six penalties in a row, Queensland have conceded seven, New South Wales three. James Maloney cannot convert.

New South Wales 32
Queensland 6

59, 721 is the crowd. That is the record crowd at the Perth Stadium.

So who would’ve thought they should’ve played their winning halves from last year, hey??

No they didn’t, Queensland was clearly the better team in Game 1 and NSW have absolutely dominated tonight

60th min James Tedesco has run 175 metres in 60 minutes. Queensland now receive a ruck penalty. The set ends with the first forced line drop out for the Maroons of the night. Gagai was stopped in the corner 1m out at one point in the set.

Exactly. Just because a team gets the penalties doesn't mean they are being favoured.

65th min Papalii throws an unexpected offload and Cherry Evans knocks on. The Blues have made nine errors, the Maroons six... it hardly seems like the Blues have made a single error, such is the dominance.

Sadly these halves were in poor form, right up until recently

I do agree they should have selected them regardless.

67th min The Maroons get a 40/20, but it really makes no difference at this point. Ponga throws an intercept to Addo Carr now.

I think there are few rugby league fans that understand this concept. The notion that the penalty count should be equal is ridiculous

Both sides pretty evenly matched. QLD were off side in the second half of game 1 to get back in the game, and got away with it. They try it again tonight and got penalised.

Bluetiful. That started with that quick ptb from Cameron Murray and unselfish plays from there

Why wouldn’t I be? NSW has absolutely dominated Queensland and thoroughly deserve the win. The referees have been completely fine

I don’t view origin games any different than I view raiders games or any other game of rugby league

Bring on Game 3, we’ll be better for it. I’m actually glad this was a smashing

74th min TRY BLUES to Josh Addo Carr, Wighton the final touch assist. Maloney should be credited with the try assist for setting it up. James Maloney converts. This is an embarrassing score line for the Maroons now.

Because Queensland needs to be better, and they’ll realise they need to be better and after this smashing NSW will crow like they’ve already won the series

It’s exactly what Queensland needs

I imagine because if it is close it glosses over some of the weaknesses in QLD’s game. Coupled with the pride that they normally play with you won’t see them play this bad two games on a row.
