I’m not a fan of Sunday night Origin.... I understand it might be commercially positive but a Saturday night would be much better for the average person and families surely

No need to throw the toys out of the cot and start calling people names when you’re proven wrong. VERY unbecoming of a so-called Admin of this forum
I'm a blue through and through, living in qld, so 95% of my mates maroons.ive had this conversation many times and never has there been satisfactory answer.
My personal opinion is that if any player picked for either state is happy to represent that state, his heart lies with the state that has chosen him, then that's what counts. I only want players in blue that want to be there.my 2 cents

Hard to see NSW getting up here. Qld seems a more settled outfit. Hope it’s a good game with plenty of drama and controversy!

Any reason for QLD suddenly blowing out on betting markets after being neck and neck up until an hour or so ago?

Possibly my prediction but more likely the dollars are all flowing for NSW and the bookies need the money to spread more evenly.

I will be interested to see how long Saifiti’s first stint is. I would be keeping it shorter then usual and look at getting him off just before the 20th minute mark.

Actually GE has been pretty reasonable the last 2 or 3 years of Origin. Up to that point he was getting hysterical but I guess you're here now to fill that void.

Eskimo Joe... very decent pre game entertainment! A band we've heard of, singing a song we've heard of! Hopefully the people at the ground got more than one song! If Nine needs so much time for talking heads... why not start the broadcast half an hour earlier?!

You want the NRL to do something that makes it easier for fans of all ages to watch one of the biggest games of the year?

You want the NRL to lose all that money they get from all those extra adds?!?!

Amazing light show at Perth Stadium. One half lit in maroon, one half lit in blue. Match scheduled to kick off at 7:50, it might only be five or 10 minutes late!

They could fit in a whole extra pile of ads with an extra half hour of the broadcast. Show us what's happening on the field! Not pre recorded video interviews!

NSW Blues run out first as the "away" team. The Maroons are taking their time... now they run out.

The light shows are amazing. Can't see many if any empty seats. Now for the welcome to country and the national anthem. Samantha Jade sings the anthem.

Nice big run from Wighton early :)

Not sure about that kick from Maloney.

4th min Big run from Jack Wighton. Now Tom Trbojevic tries to go over in the corner, but he's held up. The Blues spreading it left, then right. Now Ponga is forced to take the ball dead in goal. Forced line drop out.

9th min TRY BLUES Tom Trbojevic, he outjumps Kayln Ponga for the bomb to the try line and simply grounds it. Nathan Clearey converts. The Blues have been more up tempo in attack and defence in the opening stages.

Blues 6-0
