This loss for the Sea Eagles is going to be helpful for us. So long as we win tomorrow.

8th min TRY KNIGHTS to Hymel Hunt, big hit on Luke Keary and the ball comes up in the hands of Hunt. Keary in a lot of trouble, his head slammed into the turf. He shouldn't play on. He's on his feet and walking off. Converted Ponga.

Knights 8-0 ... after an early Knights penalty goal for Ponga.

The commentators saying the tackle is legal... I'm not entirely sure of that. Looked an awful lot like a head slam.

25th min TRY ROOSTERS to James Tedesco. The referee allows the quick tap from a penalty, and the whole Knights team is flat footed... easy try. Mitchell converts.

Knights 10-6 ... after Ponga took a second penalty goal in the 18th minute.

Interesting quick tap there. No pocket ref to set the mark for the penalty. Aubbouson receives a penalty. Tedesco picks it up and steps to the side and in front of Aubbouson (which is where you would assume the mark is) and the refs let it go.

I actually applaud the refs for letting that go and there should be more of it but 9 out of 10 times the ref sends the quick tap back in those circumstances.

36th min TRY KNIGHTS to Kayln Ponga, it's a step, gets himself into the gap and he's over. He converts his own try.

40th min TRY KNIGHTS to Mitchell Pearce. More great work from Ponga to set it up. Ponga converts from right in front.

Knights 22-6

I wonder if it is stretching it too much to suggest that the Raiders V Roosters match really took it out of the Roosters?

I think they copped an injury from a Whitehead tackle (not alone there) but I can't remember if it was significant.

Raiders are a very physical team this year, despite the smaller pack but yeah, I think a fortnight hangover is a stretch. They lost the next (like every other team off a 5 day turnaround) but I don't think it carries over.

If it does, we have no chance v the Cowboys after our last 2 games, both very draining blockbuster affairs.

43rd min TRY KNIGHTS to Connor Watson. They're in complete control at the moment. The Roosters have no Cronk, no Keary, no Friend and it is showing. Converted Ponga.

I’m not ok with the Knights renaissance that’s currently happening.

2019 has room for one underdog story and that’s the Raiders.

Apparently they've "rested" Cronk. Looks like they were quite prepared to give up the points.

Waerea Hargreaves late tackle... no penalty against the Roosters! Ponga goes off. The referee says "there is nothing wrong with the tackle". Deliberate targeting of the young play maker. That's pretty low.

And now Tedesco slips, and Watson is penalised for a high tackle. Some great tackling now from the Knights. They're angry and it's fair they're angry.
