Referees let them hold Chambers down for half an hour, too gutless for a penalty now

Croft can't get the field goal. We go to golden point. The Storm should have won by now, if they were appropriately penalising the Roosters for a horrible ruck infringement right in front.

A few high shots in a row from Nelson whatever his name is.greeneyed wrote:That was a blatant penalty against the Roosters not awarded! Right in front.
That is really poor refereeing.

Exactly. Let a 2 metre forward pass go for a try then about 5 penalties on the trot.

God love Rugby League.
Re: 2019 NRL Round 6 - Teams and Game Day
Not sure about the call on the forward pass on on the roosters try either
This game should never have got to GP and now the roosters rightfully win

2019 NRL Round 6 - Teams and Game Day
What a game, that’s the benchmark standard the 14 other clubs have to reach if they want a go in the grand final

Great game to watch despite some sloppy handling. Plenty of feeling in the game and both sides ripping in. Good stuff.

Yeah, you can't let the Storm one go then pull up Tedesco's.PigRickman wrote:Not sure about the call on the forward pass on on the roosters try either

It's still early in the year but it's hard to see anything other than these two sides in the GF.

Cooper Cronk is a genius.
Roosters will be well served keeping him at the club for many years to come in the coaching ranks.

Has any one mentioned if first position is up for grabs?
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Re: 2019 NRL Round 6 - Teams and Game Day
I can just tell what's going to happen now, after today's games. Wayne Bennett blowing up over the ruck. The Storm losing due to lack of action over ruck infringements. And the Raiders are going to end up on the wrong side of the penalty count... major time on Sunday.
Penalty Broncos.

Re: 2019 NRL Round 6 - Teams and Game Day
Clear high tackle and Roosters appropriately penalised. No punches thrown.yeh raiders wrote: ↑April 19, 2019, 9:53 pmStarted what? There was nothing there until a bunch of flogs flew in to erupt it.
Lucky the penalty wasn’t reversed, Chambers threw one (all be it a soft one).
Re: 2019 NRL Round 6 - Teams and Game Day
Great game, though I think if both play to their full potential (with no injuries), Roosters are a class above.
GE - if you are referring to the JWH holding down in front of the posts - it was called a surrender tackle.

Great game of football. The refs made some poor calls, but I also thought the refs had to make so many difficult decisions all night. Very tough game to adjudicate.
Both teams really push the skills, speed, game play and rules, right to the limit for 80 minutes plus.

What if they win by 6, how do they decide who’s on top of 3 teams are on +59?

Percentage.
Re: 2019 NRL Round 6 - Teams and Game Day
I actually agree with Bennett's comments but I'm not sure Bellamy would also voice the same complaints given their decade of dominance is based on winning the ruck with wrestling. He is experienced enough to save those comments for leading into the finals. The Roosters and the Storm are the two best sides because they can defend their line. Slow the ruck down and reset. Give away a penalty or 4 on their tryline, no worries, they can defend it. Bennett is as much having a go at them as he is the referees.greeneyed wrote:I can just tell what's going to happen now, after today's games. Wayne Bennett blowing up over the ruck. I understand what you are saying with the #penaltybroncos but if and I know it's a big if, it's adjudicated evenly and the ruck is sped up - then that arguably favours us more than the Broncos.

I just fear it will not be refereed evenly, due to unrecognised bias... which will almost certainly favour Brisbane.gergreg wrote: ↑April 19, 2019, 11:08 pmI actually agree with Bennett's comments but I'm not sure Bellamy would also voice the same complaints given their decade of dominance is based on winning the ruck with wrestling.
