The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Horrible game , even for wet weather. Zero attack from both teams.
2 chances manly had , 1 ref took Thompson out and then Elliott hogged the ball. Bombed it.
Don't think Tigers have had a chance. Farah has too much control of their team. He isn't the man who should be.

49th min TRY TIGERS to Robbie Farah under the posts. First try of the match takes almost 50 minutes in the wet conditions. Marsters converts.

Robbie Farah turned back the clock with a vintage display as the Michael Maguire era at Wests Tigers got off to a bright start under gloomy skies at Leichhardt Oval with a 20-6 win.

32nd min TRY COWBOYS to winger Javid Bowen in the corner. He thought he hadn't grounded it, but the video referee cleared it... and he just scores before going over the sideline. Kahu can't convert.

They looked better with Dufty at fullback. I don't understand why they bothered with Norman.

And maybe you and everybody else (and I mean everybody) could just join in. I've spent far too much of my Saturday night refereeing abusive comments directed at other posters. I'm just so over it. I've spent the best part of my day updating scores, promoting the Raiders and rugby league and all I get are people having fights over ridiculous things. I'm starting to think another poster was right after all.
