Sam has his haters but I loved how we played the game and followed his dream to play in the NRL.

Russell Crow was the only person who would give him ago and Sam stayed loyal to him for it. I hope he finds a career after NRL.

I'm excited at any chance to see the Broncos ripped to shreds but the old fool will probably throw Darius a lifeline. Oh there is also other issues around Souths being granted another dubious decision in their favour which frees up another million a year.

Surely Fifita goes to souths, and that would be a huge loss for the broncos.

They recently lost Crichton, Gurgess and now Surgess so should have some coin to splash on a forward. Fifita is the logical target and side mouth will make it happen.

Sam Burgess' contract wiped from South Sydney Rabbitohs salary cap, after medical retirement

The South Sydney Rabbitohs welcome the determination from the NRL today that the remainder of Sam Burgess’ contract will be exempt from the Club’s salary cap for 2020 and beyond under PCR Rule 86 (Medical Termination).

The Rabbitohs thank the NRL and its Salary Cap Auditors for its patience throughout the application process. Whilst disappointed that Sam is no longer able to take the field for South Sydney due to injury, the Club looks forward to moving on towards season 2020.

South Sydney Rabbitohs set to sign Gold Coast Titans Jai Arrow on four-year deal

South Sydney has reportedly been successful in its pursuit of Gold Coast Titans forward Jai Arrow before Christmas from 2021 on a deal worth in the vicinity of $800,000 a season.

The Courier-Mail reported the news on Tuesday and said there is a chance Arrow could seek a release to be able to play for the Rabbitohs in 2020, turning it into a five-year contract worth $4 million.
