North Queensland Cowboys 2019

Post by The Nickman »

Well, if I said that I was wrong, and I’m more than happy to admit it.

Kid’s got a really good motor and a really good workrate and now he’s seemed to cut out his little mistakes and silly penalties I think he provides really good impact off the bench. Definitely in my top 17 now.

Big difference between that and dubby being wrong about absolutely everything.
Ok, so it's ok for you to say player x doesn't impress you, but if I say it I "have absolutely no idea about anything "?

Good grief.

You're the dude that thought Josh McCrone was awesome until your gf said he was awful, remember?

I'm stoked to be proven wrong. That we've achieved what we have this year is bloody brilliant.
I'm loving it. Not a greater feeling.

I'm also not Robinson Crusoe in thinking we'd struggle this year.

So Nicko it's about time you stopped acting like your better than the rest. Constantly calling people cowards, putting others down if they have an alternative opinion to yours, it's quite tedious and draining.

Now let's just enjoy this moment, and hope for the best!

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

All that is great. But we were in awesome shape off the field 10 years ago too.

I hope NQ do well. They're my 2nd team and my wifes team. I enjoy watching them

You would say that, you coward!

Also, Mrs Nickman told me the other day that she didn't like Hudson Young, wasn't "impressed by him"... I was defending him right up until the point he eye-gouged that Warriors player, and then I sat back down quietly and mumbled to myself under my breath for the rest of the game.

Crash Craddock just said on Back Page Live that the Cowboys have opted to go for Val Holmes over Latrell. Said they don’t have space for two $1m players, and they fee Holmes would be a better fit for the club and Nth Queensland

Cowboys sign Valentine Holmes on six-year deal

Valentine Holmes has taken all of 24 hours to cash in on his return from the NFL, inking a lucrative six-year deal with North Queensland starting in 2020.

The Cowboys announced his blue-chip signing on a bumper long-term contract – believed to be worth more than $5 million – on Sunday evening, tying him to the club until the end of 2025.

I know there is lots of buzz around this guy, but I cant see him being worth the million dollars everyone seems to want to pay him. Dugan and Moylan were keeping him out for the fullback spot at Cronulla much of the time, and I can see his 'bulking up' for NFL doing much to help him out. He was always a great ball runner, but his playmaking held him back. I would easily say he is one of the best wingers in the comp, but I can see him being a million dollar fullback. Or Mitchell to be fair, Id rather have CNK.

Dugan and Moylan held him out of the fullback spot mainly because the Sharks were heavily invested in those guys to play that position. It then became blatantly obvious to all that Holmes was far and away their best option there. By the time it got to that point where he just wanted to get out of the place.
