Re: 2018 Second Test England V New Zealand: Teams and Game Day
Entertainment and intensity levels only going to increase in Test series, says Canberra Raiders hooker Josh Hodgson
ENGLAND hooker Josh Hodgson promises even more “entertainment” in the ongoing series with New Zealand as he believes both sides are only going to get better. The rivals meet for the second Test at Anfield on Sunday with the hosts having taken the upper hand courtesy of an 18-16 victory in the opener last weekend.
“In the first game sometimes players have not played alongside each other for a while and you’re still trying to click a little bit. But if that’s anything to go by it was a great test, fantastic to watch and I’m sure as the tournament goes on it will get more and more entertaining.

Canberra Raiders Elliott Whitehead: England has nothing to fear
Having won their last two games against New Zealand, England should have no inferiority complex. But they still go into the Second Test wary of some Kiwis with big reputations, and English fans might assume their boys from Super League will not be able to match these NRL superstars.
That is nonsense according to England and Canberra Raiders second-rower Elliott Whitehead. “The Kiwis play NRL week-in, week-out but the players in the England squad who play in Super League are more than capable of playing over there. They could all cope in the NRL, I’m 100 per cent sure. Anyone could go over there and play.”

Re: 2018 Second Test England V New Zealand: Teams and Game Day
There's a Test match on Sunday and New Zealand has still not named a squad for their second Test against England. All teams playing Tests this weekend have just named "squads" so far... no team named by position. The RLIF really needs to get its act into gear. This is a very basic thing to ensure your matches generate publicity. The RLIF website has not been updated since last weekend... none of the squads are publicised there (see the five squads in the first post of this thread). The NRL has provided a great model for naming teams, providing flexibility, while providing certainty for fans about who is playing and publicising their games. It is a simple, no brainer, thing to do to adopt it for Test matches. Why don't they do it?
Don't forget you can watch both European Championship Tests on Fox League (details in the first post). First one, Scotland V Wales, is on at 6:30am AEDT Saturday.

An astonishing 50-point turnaround ensured that European Champions Wales remain on course to defend their trophy and qualify for the 2021 World Cup.
Trailing 12-0 after only eight minutes - the Bravehearts getting off to a near faultless start - John Kear’s men clawed their way back into the contest by the break, behind by only four points, and totally dominated the second half, running in seven unanswered tries including a hat trick to winger Rhys Williams who extended his record as the nations’ leading try poacher.
“I’m delighted, in all honesty we got what we deserved,” said Kear, whose side wiped out the deficit of defeat in France the week before.

Re: 2018 Second Test England V New Zealand: Teams and Game Day
Not sure why the NZRL site has the game kicking off at 1:30am NZT... but I'm pretty sure it is 1:30am AEDT... not NZT! But maybe a Kiwi GH member can correct me!
