73rd min Everything going right for the Kiwis now. Dane Gagai knocks down a ball on the last in the red zone, giving the Kiwis a repeat set.

74th min TRY KIWIS to Brandon Smith. Going to the bunker to check if he's grounded the ball on the foot of a Kangaroo. The bunker disallows it! It surely touched the grass! They can't say definitively that didn't touch the ground. NO TRY ruled.

76th min TRY KANGAROOS to Felise Kaufusi in the corner. Valentine Holmes converts from the sideline. Kiwis need to settle here.

77th min TRY KANGAROOS to James Tedesco. Here we go... the Kiwis crumbling under pressure. That's terrible defence. It's unfortunate given the Kiwis have had two tries disallowed. Converted by Holmes.

Kiwis hold on to stun Meninga's new-look Kangaroos

New Zealand fought back from a slow start and withstood a late fightback to stun Mal Meninga's new-look Australia side 26-24 at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday night.

Shaun Johnson and young hooker Brandon Smith starred in Dallin Watene-Zelezniak's first game as Kiwis captain. The Kangaroos looked out of the contest at 26-12 before tries to Felise Kaufusi and James Tedesco in the final five minutes closed the gap to two and gave the Kiwis some nerves in the final moments.

Last set of 6 of the game. DCE takes the 20m Tap and passes to Hunt for a hit up? Then passes to ground/Manu on the last play

Not sure who would replace him but DCE was terrible, Hunt too.

Josh McGuire should see himself out.

Woods gave every Rugby League player in Australia the belief that anyone can make it

I really like Smith. He has good fast service off the ground from dummy. Passes always seemed to hit the chest.
