78th min Cameron Munster on report for a kicking action in a ruck, contacts the opposition player's head. And he's sent to the bin for the second time.

And Cooper Cronk finally succumbs. He's off.

The Roosters go for penalty goal.

PENALTY GOAL ROOSTERS to Latrell Mitchell.

Sydney Roosters 21
Melbourne Storm 6

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Keary stars as Roosters dominate Storm in 2018 grand final

Inspired by the presence of miracle man Cooper Cronk, the Sydney Roosters have produced a stunning 21-6 win over the Melbourne Storm at ANZ Stadium to march away with the 2018 premiership.

Cronk won his race against the clock and a severe shoulder injury to take his place in his eighth grand final and his teammates did a magnificent job of protecting their playmaker as his halves partner Luke Keary took charge.

Oh well, I was right about Maguire in the same argument, so that's 1-1.

And what I originally said was that he has the easiest gig in NRL coaching. Which is not wrong.

Yep, can’t see why any Raiders fan is happy with a Roosters win. It just underlines how the NRL rules favour the wealthy teams. They bought a premiership, they do little development. Let’s say generously that they “effectively use TPAs”. They’re a blight on the league.

I can't be bothered looking for it, but there was an article saying they actually have a good amount of local juniors.

I mean, who do we have that are Canberra locals?

It's not that people are happy with a Roosters win, it's that they are happy with a Billy Slater loss.

Also Cronk is genuinely one of the most likeable people in rugby league.

I reckon I put that ahead of the likes of Sam Burgess’s broken jaw. He’s already on the field, pumped with adrenaline and warmed up.

Cronk had to put up with it all week, had to manage it, had to convince his coach to roll the dice, get warmed up and last 75 minutes.

Completely agree.

Gutsy gamble by him and the team to go into that and pull it off.
