Good news though, there’ll be more time for good ol’ Dousty to post on the forum amirite?!

Oh wow. No one ever asked me that before.

Well, I’ve been wanting to focus on my hobbies. I’ve been getting into blogs lately, and I thought I would do one about my Turnips. I grow Turnips that look like St George legends.I’m about to start a range of Immortal Turnips as well. I’ve been contemplating doing a Podcast on them as well, but the Mrs isn’t too keen on Podcasts

Homesick Gareth Widdop requests early release from Dragons contract

St George Illawarra captain Gareth Widdop has shocked club officials by asking for an immediate release from his contract.

Widdop is contracted to the Red V for the next three seasons on a deal worth about $1 million per year. However, he has approached the Dragons hierarchy about immediately cutting ties, citing homesickness and a desire to return to England.

when was the last time a player requested a release, it was denied, then the player continued to play for that club still?

St George Illawarra Dragons set to sign Parramatta Eels star Corey Norman on three year deal

THE Dragons are set to land one of the most significant signing coups of the off-season with Parramatta playmaker Corey Norman expected to sign a three-year deal in the Red V within the next 48 hours. Norman, 27, is expected to play fullback or five-eighth, which will throw up questions about current Dragons no.1 Matt Dufty.

St George Illawarra Dragons Jack De Belin charged with sexual assault over alleged incident

St George Illawarra Dragons club statement

The St George Illawarra Dragons have today been advised that forward Jack de Belin has been charged with sexual assault following an alleged incident in Wollongong on Sunday, December 9.

The club is taking the matter very seriously and have been working with Jack and all relevant authorities, including the police and the NRL Integrity Unit, since this time.

Jack has been provided with welfare support to enable him the time and opportunity to deal with the matter.

As this is a police matter to be considered by the court, the club is not in a position to make any further comment at this time.

One of these days I would love the read a comment from one of these teams that says ‘not only have we given our player access to counceling and full support to deal with this difficult time, but we have also offered it to the woman he hoocked up with and who because of her experience with our player has felt it necessary to lay assault charges against him.’

Seriously, I know that everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but it really grinds my gears that the teams go into protect mode when we know damn well there is some truth to the majority of these cases, all the while sprucing women in league and anti domestic violence campaigns.

Yeah, but lucky the NRL says "no to violence against women"... which of course, means absolutely nothing.
