Des Hasler has the ‘desire’ to coach in the NRL again, and Manly Sea Eagles have given him the chance

DES Hasler has finally addressed speculation he will take over as head coach of Manly, saying he has a desire to coach in the NRL and the Sea Eagles have given him the chance.

The two-time premiership-winning coach arrived back in Sydney over the weekend and held a “catch up” with his manager George Mimis on Monday, where he was briefed on the role.

Manly Sea Eagles Dylan Walker charged over domestic violence allegation

The NRL Integrity Unit has been informed by the Manly Sea Eagles of an alleged domestic violence incident involving former Test centre Dylan Walker and his partner at Dee Why in Sydney's northern beaches on Thursday afternoon.

Walker has been charged with common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The 24-year-old has been bailed to appear in Manly Local Court on December 11.

NRL set the bar at 10 games for Wightons drunken stupidity and alcohol fueled physical harassment of some random blokes in the street.

Let’s see if the NRL makes the correct decision and treats physical violence against women as a much more serious transgression.

Manly Sea Eagles Dylan Walker appears in court over domestic violence charge, but partner wishes to issue retraction statement

Manly centre Dylan Walker left court on Tuesday holding hands with partner Alexandra Ivkovic, after Ivkovic's lawyer Ramy Qutami told Manly Local Court that she wished to give a retraction statement. It followed the events of last Friday when Walker was charged with two counts of assault against her outside their Dee Why apartment in Sydney's northern beaches.
