Hayne has engaged some high profile guy called Mark Baute and is apparently going to defend the accusations in court.

I was hoping he'd settle and go away until after SOO but this is going to be much more entertaining. Victim's rights groups have accused the lawyer of slut shaming and apparently he's a fan favourite amongst men's rights activists.

Hayne on channel 7

- He was advised not to answer any questions regarding the rape allegations, media kept at him though and he finally replied he was denying the charge but it wasn't a distraction, just one of those things you have to deal with.....

- he believes he isnt a marque player anymore so no pressure on him this time around

- he wants to play fullback

and my favourite bit the channel 7 commentary made comment that Jarrod was struggling and a lot further behind then the rest of his team mates during training runs while they showed footage of Hayne huffing and puffing then needing a drink

I think its safe to say Jarryd is not a very good trainer, even the footage of him at the 49ers was very uninspiring.

I guess he has to save his energy for other things.

A lot of so called experts are in living in the past of 2009.

Hayne came last in the Eels fitness test up at Soldiers beach, reported by NRL 360.

Brad Arthur participated and so did his 13 year old son, in all honesty talent only gets you so far.

I've watched some of the re-runs of Origins and Hayne has deadset single handedly cost NSW games with his dumb errors. Eels really have a dud stud on their hands.

Tbf to Hayne, Brad Arthur came in the top 10 and his sons are Parramatta juniors. Plus Semi always came last or near last in those and BA said he was satisfied with how Hayne’s been going

See now, on the face of it it sounds like that’s in Hayne’s favour. But actually it just means that Hayne was still last when most of his competition was also not fit enough to beat the coach. So now he’s last in a weaker field Image

He’ll come good... Brad Arthur will get plenty out of quality football out of Jarryd Hayne

Some people just don’t have a big motor and it has been said a million times that Hayne is not a good trainer. I know I can get flogged in fitness and yet still play better touch footy than a lot of the same people.

Parramatta forward Nathan Brown re-signs with Eels on long-term deal

The evolution of Nathan Brown at the Parramatta Eels has seen the reigning Ken Thornett Medallist awarded with a new three-year contract extension, locking him up at the Eels until the end of 2021.
Brown, 25, emerged as one of the buys of the year in 2017, with Brad Arthur developing the former Wests Tigers and South Sydney discard into one of the NRL’s most consistent middle forwards.

After months of negotiations, Brown has agreed to terms on a contract extension which will see him remain at the Eels for the next four seasons.

Boy, you cling to that don’t you? You’re wrong about almost every rugby league opinion you’ve ever had, but you’ll cling to the fact I wanted Josh McCrone moved out of the halves into hooker until your last breath, won’t you??

Fantastic stuff

In the history of internet sporting forums I’ve never seen a more ridiculous bandwagon that yours for Josh McCrone. So yes, of course it will keep being referrered to, it goes down in folklore.

And you’re now claiming all it was, was merely wanting him moved to hooker lol

And I’ll take a statement about being wrong about everything rugby league as proof I’m on decent track, when it comes from someone like you. Especially when you attempt to call out a bad prediction 6 rounds into a season.

A guy that confesses to changing his opinion on a weekly basis.

EDIT mate, you’re good at it.

Bevan French not named for Parra this weekend.

Maybe he did actually catch cold on that wing in Canberra last week.

NSWRL withdraws racial slur charges on Eels' Evans

Parramatta forward Kane Evans has escaped sanction for an alleged racial slur after the NSWRL withdrew charges stemming from an incident during a reserve grade game last week.

Playing for Eels feeder side Wentworthville, Evans was put on report after an official complaint was made by Warriors forward Joseph Vuna during their NSW Cup clash.

Jarryd Hayne's US rape trial set for 2020

San Jose: The US woman who claimed she was a virgin when Jarryd Hayne raped her after a drunken night at a Californian bar would like "some sort of acknowledgement of the damage" the NRL star and former San Francisco 49er did to her.

The alleged victim's lawyer, Micha Star Liberty, and Hayne's high-profile Los Angeles lawyer, Mark Baute, appeared before a US District Court judge in San Jose on Wednesday.

Is it just a coincidence that the Eels looked a far better side without Moses? No is the answer.

Norman repays teammates in return from injury

After a players only meeting focused on building trust back up in a seemingly down and out Parramatta squad, Corey Norman did just that by putting off-field dramas and fitness concerns to one side in a drought breaking 20-14 win over North Queensland.

With the Eels on a five-game losing run, Norman was rated only a 30 per cent chance of returning from a foot injury at the start of the week - before getting himself right ahead of Saturday's clash in Darwin.

Why Jennings still leaves teammates in awe, 250 games on

Big, strong thighs motor Michael Jennings up a football field like few others, and that's what his Parramatta teammates like most about him.

"How good is it? … he's awesome in full flight," Eels centre Brad Takairangi told NRL.com.

Parramatta Eels sensationally reject a deal to play home games at Western Sydney Stadium

PARRAMATTA have rejected a bid to play their 2019 home games at the new $300 million Western Sydney Stadium (WSS), throwing the NRL draw into chaos a week before its release.

The sensational move was announced a letter to Eels members, with club CEO Bernie Gurr explaining he refuses to sign the ‘unacceptable’ commercial deal. The NRL draw is still expected to be released next week.
