I think you actually have to murder someone to get sent off.-GD- wrote:How didnt TPJ get sent off for spear tackle?
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I think you're comparing the Match Review Committee to the Attorney General's Department?Notaroboticfish wrote:He was falling, gotta be acquitted!reptar wrote:As long as the NRL judiciary don't hear murder cases...dubby wrote:Good thing the refs enforce the lawreptar wrote:I think you actually have to murder someone to get sent off.-GD- wrote:How didnt TPJ get sent off for spear tackle?

So now you can strip the ball even after a tackler has dropped off. I seem to remember that going against us earlier in the year but whatever

There's something funny about seeing Jason Taylor in the roosters coaching box... He just looks out of place in a rugby league environment. He seems more like a struggling insurance salesman

This has been fun. When does the next one start?
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.
