I hate the Broncos as much as the next person but gee the Origin period is so stupid, punishing teams for having good players by making them play games without the availability of their best players. I don't know why you wouldn't want to feature the top players in the competition in every week of the season.

I think it's delightful! Couldn't happen to a nicer mob. It's not like they don't have enough OTHER breaks served to them on a platter by the NRL.

Well it's not like it's any different for other teams. Like the Roosters tomorrow for example. Just how it is. Dropping 3 games during Origin shouldn't derail your season or affect your chances of making the top 4 either if you're a truly quality side.

I reckon the sharks will run out of gas toward the end of the season, similar to Souths when they were defending premiers in 2015

Sadly yes, that is why they'll never change the schedule. It would expose the even-ness (or lack thereof) of the competition too much.
