The Dragons did it for their own benefit. If they want to hire violent **** they get what they get

Apparently Tigers are getting Alex Johnson from 2018 onwards. That leaves Lolahea with some uncertainty

Tigers have made some good solid signings if true.

Packer, Matulino, McQueen, Johnstone and Reynolds, who I think is a much better player than Moses.

Upgraded at prop and 5/8 as it turns out. Taken a hit a fullback though. Being stuck with Brooks at half is the biggest risk.

I think Brooks might go better next to Reynolds. Their main issue will be who they bring in a FB and also hooker. I don't think Liddle, McIllwrick or Ballin are viable options at this stage. Lolohea would be a good FB is that goes ahead. All in all, if I'm a Tigers fan I'm optimistic they'll have the best side they've had for a while.

McIllwrick has done a more than fine job at hooker for them. You're not going to make the top 4 with him but for a side rebuilding he's a very solid choice while you fix up areas that require more attention.

Spine will be MM/ Liddle, Brooks, JRey, Lolohea. Plenty of talent and promise. Not a great deal of consistency or substance

Well if they get TMM Reynolds might be hooker. In between Packer and Mautilno.

Reynolds can't play hooker, his shoulders are not up to the defensive load.

Does he have a history with shoulder injuries?

I'm not sure how many injuries he has had but that is the reasoning I have heard for the dogs not moving him into 9.

Jacob Liddle extends contract with Wests Tigers

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that Jacob Liddle has extended his playing contract for a further season, securing him at the Club until at least the end of 2019.

Liddle was already under contract for the 2018 season, and has signed a one-year contract extension to keep him in Wests Tigers colours for the next two seasons.

A former Australian Schoolboy, Liddle was a standout in the Club’s Holden Cup side throughout 2015 and 2016 — awarded the Club’s NYC Player’s Player award in 2015 before being selected in the New South Wales U/20’s squad the following year.

When I watch Liddle he always looks super awkward. Like he is going to trip over or throw the footy away somehow.

When you say "hearing" do you actually mean read a quote from Ivan Clearly in the Daily Telegraph this morning confirming he was going back on a one year deal?

Wests Tigers confirm nine players to depart

It was already well-known that James Tedesco (Sydney Roosters), Aaron Woods (Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs) and Ava Seumanufagai (Cronulla Sharks) were leaving the club at the end of the season after signing deals with new clubs earlier in the year.

The Tigers had also previously announced that veteran hooker Matt Ballin had been forced into immediate retirement due to his knee injuries.

The club has now also confirmed that off contract players Joel Edwards, Justin Hunt, Jamal Idris, Jack Littlejohn and Kyle Lovett would not be re-signed by the club.

I don't think they were expecting him to tear his ACL.

They obviously hadn't seen him get injured before.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

There are some players in that lot that could and probably will perform a squad filler role at another club.

Was never a huge fan of Lovett but he and Edwards would be good purchases for a club that picks them up on minimum wage while the cap next year is being babied.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.
