A side based on form, ability to apply pressure, some youth and good past performance could look like:

1. Dugan
2. Ferguson
3. Morris
4. Jennings
5. Mansour
6. J. Reynolds
7. Maloney
8. Gallen
9. Ennis
10. Tamou
11. Scott
12. Cordner
13. Bird

14. Woods
15. Klemmer
16. Cartwright
17. Frizell

Apart from Cartwrigh, Frizell and Mansour I don't see what changes you've made. I'm not counting the halves since both have already played Origin.

I'm so over all this origin talk and we haven't even started with the embarrassing trash between the states papers and former origin greats.

Oh apparently Dylan Walker will be on the bench, which will be really really handy if there is an injury to a winger.

Mick Ennis is a complete and utter failure in state of origin. Picking him would be farcical. This whole 'he's playing better than ever' train of thought is dumb too considering that's exactly what they said last year when he came in and we got flogged by 50.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

If I was a Qlder I'd be praying to every known deity that Ennis gets picked. He has a strong tendency to do stupid things in Origin matches.
And I would also leave Dugan out. He's not the best option at fullback (Coote, Moylan both in front) or centre (I'd pick Roberts).

Picking Ennis or Farah is a lose / lose situation, but I honestly think Ennis is the better of the two.

Farah has been ordinary for close to two seasons now. I'd much rather Ennis at the Raiders over Farah on current form. Ugh, what a horrible decision. Thank **** we got Hodgson.

EDIT: I agree with AJL. Ennis has done some stupid things at SOO level. Farah probably performed better in recent years.

1. Dugan
2. Fergo
3. BJ
4. Morris (opposite GI)
5. Mansour
6. Reynolds
7. Maloney
13. Bird
12. Cordner
11. Scott
10. Gallen
9. Ennis
8. Tamou

14. Cartwright
15. Woods
16. Klemmer
17. Fafita

Including Ennis is a bit of a gamble but current form and combinations are important. Regardless of who NSW selects they are still out matched across the park.

The quality in NSW is so far behind qld that it really isn't funny. Especially in the spine the qld back ups would be better than almost every NSW option.

If qld don't win this series comfortably they have seriously blown it out their ****!

Actually, as a Queenslander I'm hoping for Hodkinson, Pearce and Farah. And then I'll laugh and laugh and laugh.

It's slim pickings for NSW but Dugan, Reynolds, Maloney and Ennis are the best of a bad bunch.

Form seals the deal for Ennis and Maloney while Reynolds should have been there last year.

You're a Queenslander right? Coote at fullback would be an unmitigated disaster. JT would know every weakness in his game and he would exploit it mercilessly.

I would sooner have Pearce in the side over Adam Reynolds. Adam Reynolds is a myth who can kick goals.

Pretty good side RR.
Id rather push Gal to 13. Bird to 11, drop Scott all together - gaining/ keeping Cordner in the youth department, to get Fifita in there. Meaning Woods or Fifita starts. Bigger bodies up front with big motors.
TBH, not really happy with the halves, BUT, the options are great either. Sezer would be a good choice if he was playing like his 1st 3 or 4 games this yr. ARey, has an awesome kicking game, but little else. JRey is build for SOO with the niggle factor. Maloney is in good form, but was horrible at SOO level in the past. JBird would be eaten alive, Austin is in poor form and has been injured. As crazy as it sounds, Id be tempted to pick Farah at 7 and Peats at 9, then Maloney at 6 - to goal kick if nothing else. Hell, pick Cartwright at 6. NSW halves stink.

No I only have one head, I am from NSW. You are entitled to your opinion. I'm a fan of Reynolds and I firmly believe he is the best 7 available for the Blues. Pearce is probably better but not in the right mindset at the moment in my opinion.

If JT knows Coote's game maybe Coote knows a bit about JT's ??

At this stage of his career I think he gets picked because of his defence and attitude. He plays that "hard man" style of footy and would play for you until he passes out. Frizell offers way more in attack though. I probably wouldn't have Scott in my side at the moment. I think the legs are getting a little too old.
