Good for them. They really need to wrap up a decent fullback next.

Titans brand on the rise
Twelve months ago the Titans had to perform an act of charity in order to have an organisation's logo appear on their jersey; now there is no more space to rent.
Trip a Deal were the latest corporate partner to join the Titans' growing stable last week, their logo emblazoned across the back of the jersey in their 30-18 win over the Wests Tigers at Cbus Super Stadium.
On the back of Aquis coming on board midway through 2015 as the club's principle partner the Titans have reportedly signed $10 million in new sponsorship in less than 12 months with betting agency Ladbrokes signing a one-year deal three weeks ago.

Gold Coast Titans have signed Dan Sargison from Wigan from 2017
The Gold Coast Titans have signed Wigan utility back Dan Sarginson, an English Test representative, for the 2017-18 seasons.
The 22-year-old, who made his UK Super League debut as an 18-year-old with London Broncos, is a former teammate at Wigan of Titans forward Eddy Pettybourne who endorsed him to coach Neil Henry.
His best position is centre but he has been filling in for the injured Sam Tomkins at fullback for Wigan and can play wing and five-eighth.

Gold Coast Titans prepare to throw rookies into deep end
Titans coach Neil Henry confirmed on Thursday morning that five-eighth Tyrone Roberts would miss the Broncos game and is now toying with the idea of handing Cameron Cullen his NRL debut.
"He's been around in a few systems and he's still only young. He did a pre-season with the Broncos and then up there with the Cowboys but is a local boy from Cabarita. It is a good story for a bit of perseverance but he's only a young player and he's developing his game as well.
"He's been solid in Queensland Cup, Burleigh are travelling along OK. He was good against the Mackay Cutters and in his last game at the top level was that Souths trial and he was very handy there as well.

Gold Coast Titans Greg Bird's big week
Rugged Titans forward Greg Bird was in the middle of everything on Sunday, back home on his old stomping ground at Cronulla, but it shouldn't come as a surprise.
You always want to play good games against your old club," Bird reflected after the narrow 25-20 loss.
"So many years spent out here, it's where it all began for me really. I wanted to come out here and put a good performance in. Disappointed with the result."

Gold Coast Titans Greg Bird to miss St George Illawarra Dragons clash
Greg Bird has been found guilty of a grade two careless high tackle charge by the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night but has vowed to maintain the aggressive approach that has been the cornerstone of his game.
Bird was seeking a downgrade to a grade one careless high tackle charge stemming from a hit on Sharks five-eighth James Maloney last Sunday, a tackle that NRL judiciary counsel Peter McGrath argued was "high risk" and involved a "high degree of impact with player Maloney's head".

Yep. AFL successfully targeting Gold Coast and Canberra whilst the NRL commission worry about whether they paid an interior designer too much for the new bunker studio.bonehead wrote:Spent last week up there, i understand now why they pump the media articles, the suns are an unstoppable promotion machine

Contract delay ensures Nathan Peats won't play for Gold Coast Titans against Sydney Roosters
A delay in finalising the registration of Nathan Peats' contract with the NRL is set to ensure the Parramatta salary cap outcast will have to wait another week before making his debut for the Titans.
Peats, who was the player squeezed out to enable the Eels to become salary cap compliant before last Friday night's match against South Sydney so they could play for points, arrived on the Gold Coast on Sunday ahead of Monday night's match against Sydney Roosters at Cbus Super Stadium.

Eels didn't get the points last week anyway, BUT, does that mean they were under the cap?
Yes, the teams had agreed to terms, BUT, no registered contract.
So they aren't under the cap.

Titans tell stars they are free to leave club
Gold Coast coach Neil Henry has given the club’s biggest stars permission to negotiate with NRL rivals as at least 15 Titans fight to save their careers.
Henry has told co-captain William Zillman and leading trio Josh Hoffman, David Mead and Luke Douglas they are free to leave the club.
The coach is prepared to honour the deals of Zillman, Hoffman and Douglas, who are contracted to the Titans until the end of next season, but has made it clear he will not stand in the way of the big-name trio and Mead, who is currently off contract, if they can secure more lucrative deals in the NRL or overseas.

Gold Coast Titans sign Jarrod Wallace
The Aquis Gold Coast Titans have signed promising Brisbane Broncos prop Jarrod Wallace to a three-year contract starting in 2017.
Wallace, who turns 25 on Saturday, will be reunited with Titans in-form fellow prop Ryan James who he played S G Ball (under-18s) with in 2009 and National Youth League under-20s in 2010.
The former Runaway Bay junior, who moved to Sawtell in NSW when 13, says he is looking forward to returning to the Gold Coast where many of his family still live.
“It’s exciting being able to head back to the Gold Coast where I still have a lot of family and join a club that is really on the rise,” Wallace said today.
“I still know a few of the guys there and have kept in contact with Ryan James who is having a great season; it will be good to be reunited with him.
“But first I want to finish the season strongly with the Broncos who gave me a start in the NRL and have helped me develop my game and taught me a lot about the professionalism needed at that level.
“However, I see this as an opportunity to hopefully establish myself in the NRL and go back to where my junior career began.”
Wallace has played all 17 games for the Broncos this season and 65 NRL matches since debuting in 2012.
Aquis Titans coach Neil Henry says Wallace’s signing further emphasises the club’s faith in youth and the 109kg prop becomes another local product who will play a role in developing a long-term competitive outfit.
“Jarrod played 25 games last season and hasn’t missed one in 2016 and in that time has really improved and developed as a player,” Henry said.
“He’ll provide further depth to a pack that has been consistent and competitive all season and is at the age where his best football as a prop is ahead of him.
“It’s great that he has shown faith in what we are developing at the Titans and I look forward to him playing a major role in that.”

So Broncos have lost Wallace with Reed and All-Star also on the outer they will have enough cap space to sign just about anyone in the NRL with some change left over.
