Leeson Ah Mau excitement gets Mose Masoe over the line in signing with St George Illawarra Dragons
Leeson Ah Mau is a man of few words so when the Dragons prop told Mose Masoe to join the Red V earlier this year, the former St Helens big man had to listen.
"You know Lees he doesn't really talk so when he did I definitely had to listen. It's the most I've ever heard him talk actually. He told me Wollongong would be good for my family and everything was good in terms of lifestyle and culture," Masoe said.

St George Illawarra's Siliva Havili to take ownership
Having left his parents behind in Auckland for the first time to take up residence in Wollongong, Siliva Havili has moved out of his comfort zone in the hope of taking the next step in his NRL career.
Famous for making his Kiwis Test debut after playing just three first-grade games for the Warriors, the 22-year-old hooker knew his time at the club was limited once the Warriors signed New Zealand's incumbent co-captain Issac Luke for the 2016 season.

St George Illawarra players back incumbent Dragons hooker Mitch Rein instead of Robbie Farah move
ST George Illawarra has been linked to Robbie Farah, but Dragons players seem content with the hooker they’ve got.
With Farah on the outer at Wests Tigers and rumoured to be looking for a home in 2016, the Wollongong club is one of several in the NRL said to be interested in his services.
The message, however, clearly hasn’t made its way down to the playing group.

St George Illawarra Dragons ready to swoop on Canterbury Bulldogs' Tim Lafai
St George Illawarra headline a number of clubs preparing to swoop on Tim Lafai should the Canterbury centre come onto the open market.
The Dragons are chasing an outside back and are also one of the suitors for Manly utility Peta Hiku. The New Zealand international is contracted to the Sea Eagles but has been told he is free to explore his options as the club attempts to free up salary cap space following an impressive recruitment drive that is about to conclude with the signature of South Sydney's Dylan Walker.

St George Illawarra Dragons Mose Masoe's motivation
Underneath Wollongong's WIN Stadium hangs the motivation Dragons recruit Mose Masoe is using to ensure a memorable NRL return – a picture of the Red V's 2010 premiership win.
While it goes without saying every player wants to win a premiership in their lifetime, St George Illawarra's 32-8 win over the Roosters five seasons ago holds special significance to the former Tricolours prop.

There was also a story that they will sign Hiku and give him the fullback spot
Looks like Duges isnt good enough to hold down the fullback spot.
It did say he isnt a good enough ball player

Given he had seventeen bulging discs, neurological deficiency syndrome, tattoo ink poisoning and also suffers from peaheart, is it any wonder Quinlan can make fullback ahead of him?

Dugan was always a ball runner, excellent in broken field.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Russell Packer deserves another chance and could play crucial role in guiding troubled stars
RUSSELL Packer can play a critical role in helping to mentor troubled NRL youngsters, according to Rugby League Players’ Association president Clint Newton.
Packer’s return to the NRL has been okayed by the game’s governing body, but the Immigration Department has indicated the Kiwi international could have his passport revoked after being found guilty of a vicious assault.

He _could_ play that role - he _could also_ play the role of proving to youngsters that even if you do disgusting, violent things that get you locked up, you still get a consequence-free pass to play in the NRL.

Hang on - is he having his passport revoked by New Zealand, or his New Zealand resident's visa to Australia revoked?
It all seems rather confusing.
And yes, he could provide role modellingshipness from Auckland, Wellington, or Dunedin, or pretty much anywhere in New Zealand. Not sure why him being a somewhat talented psycho on the field should excuse him from the consequences of being a definitely psychotic violent **** off the field.

Dragons sign Adam Quinlan
Questions over the make up of St George Illawarra’s backline for next season intensified this week with the signing of Adam Quinlan.
Already well-stocked in the backs, the Dragons announced Quinlan’s one-year contract on Tuesday.
The young fullback made his debut in the Red V before a lacklustre stint with Parramatta in 2014, and has spent the past year in the Super League with St Helens.

WIN TV boss on verge of buying Dragons
St George Illawarra chief executive Peter Doust has described the club’s review of its structure and governance as “complex and ongoing” amid mounting speculation the Dragons are on the verge of embracing privatisation.
Doust has previously raised the concept of privatising all or part of the club, but The Weekend Australian understands talks have stepped up in recent months and the Dragons could be close to selling a stake in the joint venture.
WIN Television owner Bruce Gordon, whose son Andrew is on the club’s board, has been previously linked with St George Illawarra and he looms as the man most likely to invest his cash in the Dragons.
