Heres the thing, with Walker at 6 he can roam where ever he likes. DCE has to do all the work, and for 10 mill he bloody should too.

Walker at 6 will fail , he isnt a 6 *******.

I dont think he is as talented as they are making him. Not at this stage of his career.

No I agree. I bet Lyon will end up at 6
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Lyon would be a gap fill at this stage of his career. Surely he hasn't got many years left so you would think it better to start blooding someone into the role. Plus why would you move one of the best centres in the game out of his preferred position?

Lyon doesn't want to play 6. He has said it numerous times, and only fills in with injuries.
I don't think Walker is a 6 either, however, he will play the same role Austin does for us, he will roam the field looking for offloads and/ or tired defenders. He wont need to do much ball playing or kicking, that will be left to DCE and Koroisau.

I suspect DCE will be too busy counting his money bags to bother playing
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Manly Sea Eagles statement on Apisai Koroisau

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are aware of a minor incident that occurred with Apisai Koroisau in Bondi on 20 December 2015.

The club immediately informed the NRL Integrity Unit of the matter.

The incident follows some extenuating circumstances in Apisai's personal life.

The Sea Eagles are providing Apisai with the necessary support during this time.

The club will make no further comment.

His girlfriend took her own life a few months ago. I'm assuming that's what they're alluding to.

Manly Sea Eagles owner Scott Penn says football department had to change to keep Daly Cherry-Evans

Manly owner Scott Penn has opened up on the tumultuous year at the club, revealing star halfback Daly Cherry-Evans would not have backflipped on his Gold Coast deal had they not made significant changes in the football department within the club.

"Yes, definitely," Penn said when asked if significant changes in the football department had to made to keep Cherry-Evans. "There is no question we had to paint that picture. We had to paint a picture for the future that was going to be exciting enough for him to stay. Other clubs were putting forward compelling alternatives to what we were.

Nate Myles gives Manly coach Trent Barrett incredible praise, compares him to premiership coach

TRENT Barrett is so wet behind the ears as a coach he still hasn’t overseen a first grade game.

Nate Myles has played under a roll call of coaches that includes Origin record holder Mal Meninga, premiership coaches Tim Sheens, Chris Anderson and Steve Folkes, as well as Brian Smith, Brad Fittler, John Cartwright and Neil Henry, yet he sees something in Barrett that makes him believe the rookie mentor could be better than all of them.

Manly Sea Eagles Brenton Lawrence cleared to make NRL return

Brenton Lawrence has been cleared by Manly staff to turn out in round one after a strong showing in the side's 24-24 trial draw with Cronulla on Sunday.

In promising signs for the forgotten prop, during a 60-minute stint he took the line on with intent and showed showing no ill-effects from the back injury that ruined his 2015 campaign.

Manly Sea Eagles reach lease agreement with Warringah Council to stay at Brookvale Oval

Manly will call Brookvale Oval home again during the 2016 NRL season after the Sea Eagles and Warringah Council came to an agreement on the lease of the famous ground.

The two parties had squabbled over the pre-season over the terms of the lease, especially in relation to money. However the impasse was overcome on Monday.

How Martin Taupau helped prepare Daly Cherry-Evans for Manly Sea Eagles return

Tackling the NRL's strongest player at training has convinced Daly Cherry-Evans that he is ready to make his return from shoulder surgery in Manly's final trial ahead of a season teammates predict will be a big one for the star playmaker without the distraction of contract negotiations that dogged him last year.

After months of off-season rehabilitation, Cherry-Evans is preparing to play against Ipswich Jets at Pittwater Park on Saturday night with full confidence in his left shoulder after being tested by Kiwi enforcer Martin Taupau at training.

Season looms as light at end of tunnel as Manly recruit Api Koroisau comes to terms with tragedy

IT’S been the most trying six months of Manly recruit Api Koroisau’s life but the start of the 2016 season looms like the first crack of light at the end of a long, dark tunnel.

After a tough one-season stint at the Panthers stuck behind incumbent No.9 James Segeyaro, the livewire hooker was looking forward to another fresh start at Manly as he went out for a final farewell with his Penrith teammates — the traditional Mad Monday celebration in September.

That was the last time life felt normal for the 23-year-old, as he returned home that night to find his de facto girlfriend Cordelia had passed away.

Brown admits 'teething problems' at Manly Sea Eagles

Lewis Brown had admitted the Sea Eagles' player overhaul for the upcoming season hasn't come without its problems, but the club is now well on track to bounce back from their first bottom-eight in a decade.

One of more than a dozen new faces to join the Sea Eagles for the 2016 season, Brown said he initially struggled upon returning from international duty with the Kiwis but said everyone at the club was now on the same page.

Manly Sea Eagles player Apisai Koroisau fined $500 for trespassing after drinking session

Not long after Manly Sea Eagles star recruit Apisai Koroisau finished a drinking session with his teammates, a stranger yelled at him, "Get out or I'll call the cops."

Koroisau ignored the man's request, climbed over a gate and stumbled into the backyard of a Bondi house that was not his.

When police arrived, Korisau claimed he was "looking for a case" before he was arrested and taken back to Waverley police station and charged with trespassing.

Manly secure Brookvale future in NRL

Manly have secured hiring and naming rights to Brookvale Oval for the next two NRL seasons.

Brookvale Oval will continue to be Manly's home ground for at least the next two years after the NRL club secured hiring rights for the venue and the chance to sell naming rights at the ground.

"Brookvale Oval has been our spiritual home since 1947 and we never entertained playing anywhere else in our 70th year," Kelly said.

Daly Cherry-Evans and Dylan Walker get first game together with Manly Sea Eagles

Daly Cherry-Evans and Dylan Walker will be given their first opportunity to fine-tune their new halves' combination on Saturday when Manly host Ipswich Jets in their final NRL pre-season trial.

One of several big off-season recruits for the Sea Eagles, Walker's combination with Cherry-Evans will be crucial for the club in 2016 in the wake of Kieran Foran's defection to Parramatta.

What's the point in even fining him this? You'd expect he'd be on atleast $200k a year, $500 is nothing.
