The rookie on now on go, this is where foxsports destroys ch9. Freddie and Lam are absolutely wooden and the whole thing feels like a kindergarten play.
Listening to NRL 360 and all the tears for Wade Graham. This bloke is an admitted drug cheat. He should be still on the sidelines. You hit a bloke around the head, you get suspended.
And now we're hearing Tony Archer claiming the ruling for Tony Williams was correct, the knock forward was "accidental". Just what have come to expect from Tony Archer.

I can never subscribe to the call - it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen which directly led to a try.
BUT, if there's a technical basis on which to justify it, then it is what it is. The NRL reckons it has tried very hard to officiate in a very black and white sense - though we've seen different in some cases - so if the rules permit it and the referees show consistency in officiating literally by the book, then so be it.
I'm sure I've seen it happen before and it's been denied by both the on field officials and the video referee, but that was at a time when discretion was allowed to be used.

It should never be allowed IMO. The rule changed 100 years ago to stop this and these bunker muppets think it's OK.

Hahaha I feel you, I really do. You might note I was as bemused as you yesterday when it was awarded. However, I've since read the rules in this space and it seems - bafflingly - that it's permitted. And, as has been said many a time now, Archer is seeking to have a game in which all things are officiated in line with the rules ie no discretion which is what was probably needed yesterday
It all hinges on the word intentional. The word intent MUST be interpreted here as someone expecting to take advantage from knocking the ball forward. Surely that's what Williams has done. There's no unintentional action here.
I think you touched on an out which the bunker could have taken up - that is, the advantage that was taken which came from an unintentional knock on / knock forward.
I don't know, mate. Hopefully the rule is tinkered with because if that happens again and it's awarded I'll dead set give it away

What a load...

Fair dinkum he looks terrible. It's either recent Botox injections gone wrong or someone punched him repeatedly in the face moments before coming on set.
Or
A swarm of bees attacked him...

Canberra's Jordan Martin from the NRL Recruit will be on The Footy Show tonight. He's the son of Paul Martin and currently plays Mounties. He's in the final six.
Also there should be an Erin Molan story on the Raiders filmed at the National Zoo tonight.
Lockyer on the footy show
- Ryan James won't have anything to answer for with the Tedesco high shot
(Personally I think running in from an offside position and a massive swinging arm to the chops to break a jaw of their best player will raise some questions. Looking at the replay Tedesco hadn't really dropped down yet. Hope he's back to play against Cowboys though)
- oates gets rid of his errors he's the best winger in the game
(I think any winger would be winger of the game if they got rid of all their errors!)
Matty johns show just showed someone absolutely giving it to brandy in one of the funniest moments of the year. An absolute much watch "not the nrl news"

If Justin Hodges is still part of NITV, it's not good. It's terrible.
