Thommo looks on warily as Craig Bellamy offers his hand.

Considering we have only 3 less wins than the 2nd place Titans, who we beat, and we have also beaten the Panthers, Warriors, Sea Eagles and Broncos, oh and St George - I too have been fantasising about an unbeaten run to the GF. Wasn't it the 89 Raiders who came from the middle of the table and who ...

Well... I think he's been over rated and over paid for ever ( :o ). But putting that aside, he is a fairly good player (I just never though of as rep quality TBH). Raiders should just buy academy and mooseheads and give players free drinks etc...I reckon the players would love it. YOU SEE. NOW THERE IS THE BEGINNING OF AN IDEA. Every time he runs that ball, you can see the angry look in his eyes. Man, he just lines up the opposition tacklers and runs full pelt right into them, getting down low and bending the line every time. He was going to retire at the end of 2008, then at the end of 2009, and now he is finally pulling ...

Q. What is a third party deal? A. Basically, if Terry Campese gets paid $100K to promote Hair Fusion, that is totally up to him. Or if Josh Dugan wants to work as a bouncer at a nightclub some nights, or Jarrad Croker wants to be a chippy in his spare time, then they all have a right to do so. A thi...

Tim Gavel just spoke to Don Furner - Reports in Canberra Times are wrong regarding 300k. "a lot less" than what was reported. Storm paying some cap for '11 and '12. Whatever Melbourne are paying him, I'm guessing it will be just enough to be under minimum wage, which if my knowledge of th...

Phil Graham was on really good coin while here. Thommo has also been getting paid far more than he's worth to us now. Probably another $200K freed up from losing J Carney. So its no wonder we have some extra cash up our sleeves. CT reports we are paying White $300K pa for 3 years, and he got a payou...

Another thing that was speculated was that if yo want to attract a half back to the club, someone like say Cooper Cronk, then you have the incentive of having the most effective forward pack in the league to run behind.

Rugby league is an international sport, and players will always come and go from the ESL. Re: Hayne, Campese victims of brilliance

Campese has been pretty good all year, with only a couple of mediocre games to his name. Kicking and tackling have been features of his game. The main factor limiting his attack has been the number of tackles he has to make each game - something like 30 tackles a game is a lot for the main attacking...

That is, (DUH) the likelihood that they will be a re-energised team this weekend!!

Im happy for us to bring in White. He's from Cooma so I only wonder why we didn't have him from the start. Logan will probably retire and is stretching it to play on another year; and Tilse has hit a plateau in his improvement - he's still dropping too many balls and runs like a giraffe (too slow!)....

Move on to another subject. Noddy Ain't comin and your dreaming if you think he will.
One of the reasons he signed for the Dogs last time was because he did not have to move his family out of Sydney.
That and his media commitments mean that unless he finds a team in Sydney, he'll retire.

gotta agree that Waddell has more potential than Buttriss. Butts has been solid for us most of the year. He has taken his role more seriously, his passing is sharper and he is making some metres. You would have thought John Lang's time has passed aswell. But he has the Bunnies flying high. Steve Folkes has the experience to craft our talented but youthful back line into class players. I've been mulling over the coach question for some time and have come to some conclusions (which some might say are fairly obvious). Clearly Dave Furner has done a good job with the forwards. We have arguably the best forward pack in the NRL. Our back line is a shambles. Its strange because some wee...

My take on all this, for what its worth. Jilted by Elliot, abandonded by Henry, deserted by wave after wave of players, the Raiders board decided to fix the problem and focus on loyalty within the club. So they increased the effort on player development and appointed a coach who will never leave. If...
