I don’t think Smith is going back to the middle order. Khawaja will be 38 for next summer. If Smith can average 40+ as an opener (who’d doubt him) then that’s better than 2 new faces at the top in 12 months time.

If Dropoate plays fullback in round 1 I’m out before the season even begins. If it happens he’d legitimately be the worst first choice NRL era fullback. By a large margin.
