Re: Jack Wighton to join South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2024
Souths almost certainly won't be doing anything wrong with this signing. It is the system that allows TPA's to not count against the cap that is the problem. Clubs like Souths have greater access to them and use it to their advantage. Which sucks for us. Rusty and Cannon-Brookes probably found a lo...

Re: Jack Wighton to join South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2024
Time for a new coach, fresh ideas, different perspectives, and ways of doing things. Good luck to Jack. Raiders should also move in the same direction with Ricky. Enough is enough. We have gone full circle now to 2014 where we started from. Ricky's had a good run with it, had some successes, but ul...

Re: Jack Wighton to test the open market for 2024
He/we will just be doing this so that we can restructure his contract. We don't have anything good to do with the Fifita money remember. We may as well give him another 300k next year and scale that back at the back end of his contract. Agreed He’s looking at the cap increases and he and his agent ...

Re: Coaching issues
To be honest it's quite amazing to think how poor our attacking structure has looked for quite some time now and then see our results the last 4 seasons. 2019 - lost GF 2020 - lost Prelim 2021 - missed 8 2022 - lost Wk 2 of Finals This year is shaping up to a bottom 8 finish unless something change...

Tim Sheens coached us from 1988 until 1996. We finished 3rd, 4th, 1st, 4th, 12th, 3rd, 3rd, 2nd, 6th. Made the finals all years except one, made the grand final five times, won three of them. Win percentage 67.2% over nine seasons, 219 matches including finals. Stuart has coached us from 2014 and i...

The momentum changed when the Rickstar ordered a shot at goal before halftime when Dolphin player sent to the bin. Does anyone dispute that since about 2017 we have lobbed up year after year and have been absolutely clueless in the red zone? Dusting this one off early in the season. We look like garbage, we have one of the best attacking players in history as our coach, and we can't get a repeat set to save our lives.... Back to back losses to start a season again... Great players rarely make good coaches - great players have an instin...

Flog the land Manuka Oval sits on for a mint, build a new, rectangular, 30k + stadium on top of the current Bruce Stadium, and build a 30k circular seater for the future AFL/BBL franchises and Test matches, etc, right next door. The training ovals and substation will need to be shifted, and a proper...

Hodgo was a very, very crafty player at his best. Definitely knows the game. Definitely a strong enough character. There's a lot to coaching, planning, interpersonal skills and EQ, mindset, teaching, analysis, discipline, all those intangibles we call "culture". From what I've seen of Hod...
