Re: How much is Blake worth?

I'm getting really over players playing for a penalty. That's what Austin was doing for the Hurrell try. If he legitimately went all out to try and make the tackle, he probably would have been taken out and given a penalty, but he played for it and the refs/bunker rightly judged it a try. It happens...

He did plenty of things which impacted others. What about drink driving and the other driving offences? What about urinating on a guy? What about wilfully damaging a car? Compared to lodge though? Im not saying he should be registered, im saying lodge shouldnt have been. And its set a dangerous pre...

Re: Mulholland wants change to NRL contract system

Of course, if the NRL was well managed and administered, this bloke wouldn't be allowed to play rugby league. Nor should they have let Russell Packer play, nor Todd Carney. All these players have seriously damaged the reputation of rugby league. Paul Green said today Todd Carney deserves a second c...

Re: Sydney Roosters close to signing Kurt Baptiste

Besides shonky TPAs, i think there needs to be 2 things brought in that prevent this sort of thing from happening. 1. Ban front and backloading of contracts. Backloading has serious ramifications to cap management and creates an environment where someone like Baptiste is forced to be released when w...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018

How many players have we signed since releasing Baptiste ? We needed to release Baptiste to be cap compliant and god knows how many have been added since.. Its not always as clean cut as that. They'd have budgeted for the majority of the additional signings. The Raiders would have known they needed...

Re: Papalii cleans up act in bid to land Raiders contract

Papalli is the least of our problems. Sure he indulges in the off season but so long as he works his backside off to get in shape for the season I don't care. We all indulge on our holidays. As for off field incidents, if we refused to sign/renew contracts for players who've done something untoward ...

Tbh I think most would agree that decreased govt spending would not hurt. It would certainly assist the national accounts, how much that will flow down to bring some borderline people to contributors, I don’t know. It’s not always the amount that is spent. More how it is spent. $190k a year job for...

I don’t think it is reasonable that 40 percent of the population doesn’t contribute in net terms to the community. That is nothing like a safety net.
