Re: Junior Paulo to depart Raiders at end of 2018
OK so we have no big name starting prop rotation for next year. Happy enough with that if we spend the money on a half and on-field leader as well as pick up a couple of young up and coming props for much less cash. Of course none of this will happen, all the remaining boys will get a pay bump and i...

Yeah hard to blame him as it appears he was playing off the cuff and there was nothing doing outside him. Not sure how much practice he had calling plays or last tackle kicking. Set up to fail.

Sounds good GE, give us those juicy details.
I've been living in Brisbane a long time and I'm yet to see the boys win up here. I've seen Campo do his knee at Suncorp, but not a Raiders win.

if he gets selected I'm sure he'll absolutely wonderful for the Blues Interesting times. Jennings and Mansour are 100% out, and you'd think the Morris boys are done too? The rest depends on whether Freddy wants to stick with Dugan/Ferguson or bring in more fresh blood. I suppose it also depends on ...

Re: Matt's Match-ups 2018
Result The tally is Storm 4 and Raiders 13. This is a far more lop sided result than I would have suspected. The Titans wont roll over, not like the skins suggests, but the Raiders should be able to win this comfortably. If they show the defensive resolve of that past four or five weeks, they shoul...

I would love to know if the club has plans for a museum in the new building at Braddon. Re: Disillusioned
I was looking up Schif the other day - I did a double take when I saw he only played 6 seasons for us. I would’ve sworn it was much longer. We did not have a good squad for most of his time here, but at least the boys put in most of the time. They overachieved massively in 2003. Schif was a beacon ...

Paplii and Paulo came into the offseason late due to the world cup and both at least 20kg overweight. I'm officially on the Sack Ricky bandwagon after yesterday. I can't remember more incompetent selections and use of bench in all my years of watching the NRL. All I'll say is that if Tapine doesn't get that edge spot that was Papalii's, I'm just about done with this whole thing. Tapine had one of the best performances you'll see last week and 100% deserves to stay there. If Papalii walks back into it, Ricky has rocks in his head. That would just be the ic...

Generally people don’t start a fight when taking a leak. Generally people don't urinate on other people, or urinate into their own mouths. Yeah QLD are usually pretty loyal though. I think we can bank on him being here in 2019 and in the starting side. He's as likely to move on as Wighton or Croker. He'll be expected to come good at some stage. He might make the squad, but TBH I wouldn't pick him on current form. Gillett has a spot na...

Ugh, I don't know why I'm bothering, but this is the team I'd go with for the Round 3 debarkle against the Warriors: 1. Wighton 2. Cotric 3. Croker EDIT 11. Papalii 12. Whitehead 13. Bateman 14. Sezer 15. Lui 16. Boyd 17. Gubb I'm all for Cannon at prop. I hear he's a bit of a gun. Fire is in hot f...

Taking the 2 seriously, expect the Knights to hit back with a try. This is when I knew we'd lose. That creeping dread that all Raiders fans know. This was a really bad decision and it came straight from Ricky. Every single fan could see this coming and that we'd need more than two points up our sle...

Re: 2018 Rd 2 V Knights: Game Day
Does anyone honestly rate Bateman. Nice kid, tries hard, local jnr . . . . . But just my opinion, offers nothing on the field. Can't dominate a tackle, allows the ball runner to get excessive post contact meters and only averaged 6m a run last night. Doesn't have speed, power, offload or agility. A...

Re: 2018 Rd 2 V Knights: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Some of that has to be a lack of ball for us. We scored very easily in that first 30mins, not too many tackles were being made. That said, when the going got tough, that's where we should have directed some more traffic. Easier meters to make through a half. We also scored around the middle of the ...

Re: 2018 Rd 2 V Knights: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Anyone else not that impressed by the Knights forward pack? Their prop rotation is pretty weak. We should be able to get an edge bashing it straight up the middle. Boyd was good last week, if he retains that form and Paulo lifts a bit I think we can blow them off the park. Will still require holding...

I also didn't like the Sezer hooking experiment. Havili looked good though. Would like to see a Garvey / Havili rotation and see us play with our two best halves on the paddock. ATM I think that means Austin misses out, and Sezer playing 5/8.

Re: 2018 Rd 1 V Titans: Game Day
the grubber try the titans scored was caused by a croker misread and wighton having to tackle Gordon (??) and getting stuck on the defensive line. At least 2 of their tries were in part due to Wighton having to assist tackling on our line on the 4th and being out of position for the last. Hard to b...

Why is Papalii in the XIII squad? Surely he walks back into his green and gold jumper and doesn't need to prove himself.
