Panthers look like peak Raiders of the 90s. Absolute step above the opposition and could score at any time.

Re: 2024 NRL Round 3: Teams and Game Day
I love Fog and his kicking game, but Cleary just showed what an elite halfback should be able to do. Andrew Johns-level skills. Fog just doesn’t have that kind of play in his repertoire, at least not to any consistent level. There’s usually only 0-2 guys at this level at halfback at any point in ti...

Yes Hors did raise those mental challenges in an article I read. He must be a frustrated footballer to be charged so heavily for an action we keep seeing regularly in games without similar charges. I think a further frustration would be that not a single ex player or NRL media personality thought he...

Re: A new Canberra Stadium
Mr Rattenbury would have a completely different view for the $500 million if the money could go to GWS, bike paths or his inner north electorate. The money can go to those or other things. That is exactly what he is saying. It goes to reason that a forum of football supporters would want a stadium ...

Berry was backtracking on her Raiders at fault claims when she appeared on ABC radio yesterday afternoon and she’d surreptitiously shifted her blame from the Raiders to an unnamed stadium staffer. Her interview with Ross Solly by the way, was 15 minutes of saying the delays in building the stadium w...

I just noticed Shane Rattenbury advertises on the ACT Parliament member page that he was an inaugural member of the GWS Giants for Canberra.
He probably said he’ll support Andrew Barr to hold onto power if he builds him a tram and also gives $53 million to GWS.

Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews
Interested to know why people think Cotric should be selected this week over Schiller. Schiller is absolutely tearing it up at NSW cup level and couldn't have really done much more to put his hand up imo. He was unlucky to miss out in round 1 but didn't sook and had a proper crack in NSW cup which ...

Re: 2024 Round 2 v Tigers: Game Day
PTB speed is a pretty rubbery stat and there is not much consistency at all week to week from players (see Guler vs Saulo last week for example). I am pretty doubtful about how accurately people are manually able to record it over a whole game, and if a player has one really slow play the ball beca...

Re: 2024 Round 2 v Tigers: Game Day
We are going alright when the hot argument is over a 20 minute bench role. Guler had 48 minutes today according to NRL.com That was more than any other front rower other than Tapine. So it's not actually a small role he plays. And as per above, if there is a person on this site who has defended and...

Re: A new Canberra Stadium
Barr has been talking about a new stadium for well over a decade. So much talk about city infrastructure so little delivered. He’s building an $800 million dollar 1.7km extension of Light Rail to Commonwealth Park. That is not a wise investment decision. That money could build a very good stadium.

3 Fog. For controlling the game and structure
2 Hoskling. For such great play.
1 Strange. For some real points of difference.
Have to say Levi was pretty good again.
Kris and Timoko a real threat in the centres.

Cam Murray is or at least was the best 13 in the comp imo. I prefer his ability to bend the line, find his front and get a quick play the ball over the ball playing ability of a Yeo. Considering Fox predicted Savage at fullback, Strange in the centres and Weekes at 5/8th just before the round 1 teams were released, I wouldn’t put too much effort overthinking Ricky’s selection decisions or non decisions.
