Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 3: Teams and Game Day

If I were to ever stop being a Raiders fan, it would be because of watching a game like this. Rugby League really can be an exciting game to watch. Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk I genuinely didn’t even realise teams play like this anymore! Where is the grind? Finals footy is all about the gr...

I noticed there was a growing trend on socials to bag Walsh's errors and defence. I imagine they're very quiet now

Lol we would have got smashed by the Warriors, as we did in the regular season An incredible achievement in particular by Webster and SJ, and as a Raiders fan, CNK. A great fairytale which has got me well and truly perked up. Playing good football too, using the ball and playing smart. I often come ...

Re: Is Ricky Stuart the person to lead us to another premiership?

The fact of the matter is that there's a (mostly) universal excitement that comes with attack. I think even the players would feel it and feed off it, hence why after scoring a try teams tend to get a "spring in their step". I think the Broncos for example feed off Walsh's exciting attack....

I agree Guler and Saulo are solid NRL players. I’m not sure they walk into most teams’ top 17. They’d definitely be in some others, they’d be top 30 in most. But agree, we have other players in our top 30 who provide more impact. I agree with this. Rarely do you see a team of 1-17 stars. Every prem...

Referees used to get criticised for putting their whistle away during extra time etc, especially with offsides, but that's exactly what they should do imo. Not put it away but lean towards not penalising Young was onside but 4 other players look like they're struggling to get back. The ref in the mo...

Re: 2023 Finals Week 1 v Knights: Game Day

I still can't get over how much we threw the ball around, we went from side to side quite regularly. It was a very clear drastic shift in the style of football we've been playing all year and I just can't fathom why they weren't doing this weeks ago. We would've been so much more potent in attack i...

I’d honestly be happy with Croker coming in and Jack moving back to 6 Our only chance of winning is good games from Jack and Fogarty, will it happen? Probably not But it’s our only chance so might as well roll the dice I find the Wighton centre move just mind boggling. We're stacked in the centres,...

Interesting story in The DT about how Sam Burgess and Souths fell out… apparently his planned recruitment of Dominic Young was overruled by the coach. I was going to say the same... and the BJ relationship soured very quickly and got ugly. Likely because he put faith in a guy and it cost him a premiership and he might never get another shot at one. Also for all of Rapana's crazy plays, they're not typically "flair" plays His crazy plays...

Totally agree with Bot, Rapana is an out and out Sticky type player. Almost the quintessential Ricky player. He brings the core Ricky traits to the table, and anything else he does is peripheral and yeah an added bonus, including the flair plays

There's very little risk with playing Stewart and Strange imo, they are in the blue chip Dugan/Carney/Milford class of juniors. Players like that almost always only bust because they screw up or are lazy long term, its nearly never because their ability doesn't translate to first grade quickly. Eve...
