Re: Canberra Raiders 2020 revised draw

No active cases of Coronavirus in the Territory and a supportive ACT government but we're not allowed to play games here.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys, Bwoncos and Storm all get to play at home.

Makes sense.

Re: Should Bradley Clyde be an Immortal?

I'd rate Bradley as the third best Raider of them all. Behind only Big Mal and Laurie.

I've got him ahead of Boxhead and Ricky who are my 4 and 5. He was a colossus in his day.

As for him being an immortal, well, let's get our #2 made an immortal first. Then we'll consider Bradley.

Re: 2020 membership pack

A Raiders football signed by each member of the 2020 squad.

When they win the comp, it will be worth something.

A great memorabilia piece that won't cost the club an arm and leg to provide.

Get onto it, Don Jr.

Re: The Boxing Thread

A couple of decent domestic PPVs coming up. Tim Tszyu on Wednesday night against Dwight Ritchie is a good fight. Ritchie has no power but does have decent hand speed and skills so will provide a good test for Tszyu at this stage of his career. Decent undercard as well featuring some competitively ma...

Re: Canberra Raiders legend Ruben Wiki inducted into NRL Hall of Fame

My favourite Canberra Raider of all time. My favourite memories of him were as a young centre. Like when he scored 4 tries against Newcastle early on his career. I can remember him debuting for the Raiders in Craig Bellamy's u21 side. He came off the bench with 5 minutes to go and played on the wing...

We should be able to get a good form-line on Tszyu from here on in. With PPV money behind him, they will be able to afford higher quality opponents. He needs to start cleaning out the local ranks and to face a few carefully selected international opponents. Fighting the national champ for the Austr...

Has he got a match lined up with Horn also, or are they talking it up in the hopes of getting one? Tszyu isn't ready for Horn yet but that would be the ultimate goal. Horn has international experience and has held a professional world championship so Tszyu needs to bridge the gap in experience that...

Tim Tszyu fights for the Australian Light Middleweight title on Wednesday night against Joel Camilleri. Decent step-up fight for Tszyu with Camilleri not having previously been stopped inside the distance. Tszyu should win though. It's Main Event PPV which all of Tszyu's fights likely will be from n...

Re: 2019 Rd 6 V Broncos: Fans' Choice Player of the Year

3. Bateman - Astonishing performance from this bloke. Scored a try, set up tries, made tackles. Even that professional foul at the end was a smart play. It denied the Broncos a try scoring opportunity with time running out. By the time they did get one a little later on, we only had to defend one se...

3- Papalii - I've said it before and will say it again. We're better when he's out there. 2 - Whitehead - These Pommies are tough. All of them are. Re: 2019 Rd 4 V Cowboys: Fans' Choice Player of the Year

I have to do my points off the condensed Foxtel one hour replay this week. Not ideal, so I'll spread them evenly: 1 each to Papalii, Leipana and the three Pommie backrowers (including Sutton who appeared to play a front-rower's role). We've struck gold with those Pommies. I wasn't overly impressed w...

Good win by Andrew Moloney in a WBA world title eliminator today in Chile. That's two kayo wins against world class opposition from his last two starts. He's our next world champ. Tszyu is a good talent which is why I've mentioned him here a few times. But let's not go overboard. The bloke he was matched with wasn't up to it. All quiet on the boxing thread.

I've been following the heavyweight division and local Australian boxing.

Tim Tszyu is progressing nicely. He's 10 and 0 with 8 kayos.

Fights again in Bendigo on 8 Sep.

I'm intending to go down and take a look.

Have to agree with this.

Folau would add strike to any backline in the comp.

Would also boost the profile of the side (which in turn would bring in revenue).

Suffice it to say I think he'd be a much better winger than centre.

He's already been picked as a rep centre.

He's obviously a first grader and a high quality one. I've always advocated that he be put on the wing though b/c it more suits his skill set. He would have played higher level rep football by now if he had. Would also be very handy cover as the no.3 centre in the club when a first choice guy is out...

I'd go hard to try and sign him. He's got genuine star quality and would boost the profile and credibility of the side. I'd play him at right centre and move the best centre in the game to the left (b/c he would handle it). We need to keep a couple of these other guys who are being mooted as going e...

Sezer is a very good footballer but he isn't the right fit for our side and never has been. If someone else wants him, let him go. Win breakfast for two at Idelic Kingston

Fair dinkum, getting them to hand over the sausage and latte to Fui has been like extracting wisdom teeth.

The poor bloke could have starved to death before they announced him as the winner.

I think an extra special breakfast is in order when Fui fronts to collect his winnings.

Hong Kong Fui wins. He's bolted in. There are no other legit entries.

If Fui doesn't get it there should be an inquiry.
