Liking Trevilyan's work so far.
Been more effective in five minutes than Starling was in an hour.
So expect to see him hooked, shortly.

Re: Ryan Sutton signs three year deal with Bulldogs from 2023
I'm not a huge fan of Sutton - he's just a good solid player. However, he's the kind of guy that does the dirty work that allows the stars to shine. At the right price, it's that kind of player that's really important. I don't think he'll be obviously missed, but it might be noticed most in the form...

Couple of real gun 2nd gen players in the ESL, Hanley, Pryce, Gannon Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk Not seen anything in Hanley that would encourage me - although his stock comes from arguably the greatest player to ever play the game - but the other two look like stone-cold superstars. I speak of this only anecdotally, as i've certainly not done any real research, but i am noticing in sports i follow that the ACL recovery time feels its getting smaller I remember it was considered a 12 month injury and 18 months before you're back to your best, and it's slowly come down to a 9 mo...

Joey Leilua has signed with Featherstone.
Surprised he's had to drop down that low and he'll find the second tier over here quite a culture shock, I think.
I'd also be worried that he'll find it a bit too easy and the last thing he needs is a lack of something to motivate him.

Loved that London game. London were a poor team and severely weakened on the night, so it was an astonishing result. Shaun Edwards put on an absolute masterclass. Unfortunately, I was living in France when Bradford had our home ties in the competition, so I didn't get to see any. I seem to remember ...

Re: Josh Hodgson signs with Eels for 2023
Genuine question, here, but does a player's contract value have to be paid? Could a player opt to forego some salary in order to secure a move they want? For example, let's say Hodgson is on $900k for his final year at Canberra. If he opted to sign for Parra for $600k for three years - because he's ...

I don't mind the black one, maybe a bit busy for me but not bad, I could see it doing well. The classic era look is always good. Just unfortunate the main sponsors logo is red. Brandon Smith will command offers from almost every club in the NRL. He is no chance of signing with us for anything other than massive overs (and even then maybe not) and by even bringing him up you are setting yourself up for disappointment. I suppose there's a possibility that he doesn't want to...

The point is Matt - there's very little value and quality on the market that came off contract this year but we need 3 players to improve our squad. Better to look at unknown younger players with upside. Ricky did good jobs with Tapine, CNK, Cotric, Young, Starling, Sutton, even Rapana, in progress...

Ash Taylor has the biggest differential from cost to potential that I've seen for a while. Will it work? Who knows - there's a fair chance it won't. But if it does, you've cracked the cap. Croker needs to start thinking about the rest of his life.
Surgery to prolong his career, at this stage, could leave him struggling forever more.
He needs to think about a procedure that will see him live pain free.

If you haven't seen it, try to catch the St Helens v Catalans game at the Magic Weekend.
A good game with possibly the most astonishing comeback I've ever seen in rugby league.
The Leeds v Hull FC game that followed it was another golden point cracker.

Re: Raiders interest in Eels half Dylan Brown grows, while Havili off to Rabbitohs
I think you've got to move Wighton to 13. Puts and extra playmaking option in the middle of the park, which lets CNK focus on supporting the ball runner and defending. Brown at six would work very well with this, as long as someone with a kicking game plays at seven. From a physical standpoint I li...
