Re: 2022 Rd 20 V Titans: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*

I'm sure many have seen the introduction of Savage as being a big factor in our turnaround. I can appreciate that, but at this stage he subtracts as much as he adds to our performances. The two halves of the Warriors game couldn't provide a more stark example. Not death riding the kid. Just pointin...

I get the sense from his message that he and his family have had to leave Canberra to return "home" for personal reasons.

Maybe a family illness or similar.

Could be wrong.

My take is as follows. I made the mistake of venturing momentarily onto the FB page and yikes there are plenty of people ecstatic at this signing. I think most people like the idea that the coach is a club legend and "one of us" and a loyal Canberran, and that is more important than specif...

Olam wasn't a conventional shoulder charge, he was saving a try and didn't put Schiller's head at any risk of a knock. It's a contact sport - things like that will happen and a bit of discretion needs to be applied. Was he meant to give Schiller a saloon passage to the line? We had a very similar o...

How can a player impede if he hasn't moved his feet? Very bizarre that people would defend Klein on that call. I agree. 100% the spirit of the rule should be based on a player moving position to get in the way. If the attacker runs at a stationary player who isn't offside and gets impeded then toug...

The referee refusal to make the right call and decide the game actually helped decide the game! And the best team won. Do we hand wave it and say the result was right? Well in the NHL the embellishing player goes to the penalty box for 2 minutes (or until a goal is scored). It usually gets called when a player takes an obvious dive. It's a bit harder to call for refs in the NRL given the Lodge situation. The Bunker could make a judgement call based on the video? N...

"Embellishment" is called in the NHL, a similarly "violent" sport, so why can't we do it here?

As has been suggested, if a player is "alleging" injury from contact to the head, it should be an automatic HIA.
