Re: 2009 Rd 6 V Titans: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*

the Green Machine have the potential to punish teams in the blink of an eye, such is the form of the likes of Terry Campese and Alan Tongue. Sentences such as this reinforce just how much I love being a Raiders fan. The Raiders excitement machine is a bit of a myth this season. Its all based on the...

Just an update that TAB Sportsbet have discovered the betting faux pas and "Team of Dally M Winner" odds for the Raiders is now $5 (same as Campo to win). Many thanks to Woodgers and his mate for pointing it out and congrats to all you punters who took the best 'overs' of the season. :thum...

Not overly relevant considering the point of my argument. I was saying the Qld teams don't need help from the refs to ensure they maintain interest of the public.

we seem to often get an unfair deal when we play in qld though. Just did some quick research...of the 10 state of origin games anasta has played, we have won 4 = 40% wins of the 8 games where he has played 5/8, we have won 3 = 37% wins. not that great a stat for anasta or gould for that matter... I wouldn't worry too much about those kind of stats - instead you...

The issue with the little leak to the media is that it is so brainlessly transparent that I can't believe anyone would even bother with it. The way it was written up by RLW, they may as well have just said 'it was his manager'. Campese's manager has to get the best possible deal for him. It seems s...

I think all teams have improved their discipline. The first couple of rounds the refs were blowing up anything close to a ruck infringement. Now the players have woken up we don't see teams testing the refs as much. ....and of course we all know that any penalty against he Raiders is a dodgy call. :...

Very true that a manager's job is to get the best deal possible for his client however this can stil be achieved ethically and with some semblance of integrity. This game was teams 15 and 16 on the ladder after round 3 and they are still both outside the 8. I suppose they weren't left with much choice when there are only 5 games on. Eels and Dragons having the bye meant they couldn't play their favourites.
