Re: Cotric set to head to Bulldogs on three year deal worth $650,000 a season
Very disappointing, hate to lose a local Canberra junior. The Raiders are doing the right thing, making sure that we don't tie up too much cash in positions like wing or centre these days. It is what successful clubs do. I also don't think his form warrants that sort of money. He was truly outstand...

Re: Cotric set to head to Bulldogs on three year deal worth $650,000 a season
Great news.
Was very worried about the amount of cash and time being offered where I'm very certain he hasn't improved since he entered first grade.
A bit one dimensional and too big a contract for what he was bringing to the team..
Onwards to some new kids..

Re: 2020 Rd 10 V Roosters: Game Day
Havilii isnt a long term hooking option. His distribution is good enough but he really offers nothing else. I actually prefer him taking taking hit ups. Starling showed glimpses so hopefully he can develop into a viable replacement for Hodgson. Anyone who think we are better without Hodgson has roc...

Any chance Bateman sacks his manager when he's de-listed, says sorry to Rick and stays with us for more than the Wigan Offer and less than the Raiders original offer?

Good riddance.
Integrity obviously isn't big in his agenda
Return the club the transfer money, pay back your 2020 salary and leave now. Raiders should not be supporting any rehab and he should consider his career here over.
Give me Whitehead any day of the week.

Re: Don Furner says John Bateman has permission to have negotiations with other clubs
The reality of this is that John Bateman came to Australia for two reasons. 1) To test himself, as all the top quality Englishmen want to do. And he has done this. He knows he can compete. 2) Money. To secure a future for himself and his daughter. He didn't bring his daughter out here. It is clear h...

Re: Don Furner says John Bateman has permission to have negotiations with other clubs
We do have most of the core of the side locked up beyond 2021. It's mainly fringe players or expected retirements off contract before then. We still haven't locked in Cotric past this season which will be another tough one to hold on to. Our premiership window is rapidly closing. Sent from my SM-N9...

You're a good kid, John. But you've had one good season.
We've got a good culture, and if you're going to jeapordise that - you can let the door hit you on the way out.
I hope he stays - I hope this is a beat up, but we are surely past the days of being held to ransom by star players.

Re: $7.7m Triple treat: Jarrod Croker and Nick Cotric set to re-sign with Canberra Raiders
Hey boys, want to sign a centre that'll go down in history as being the leading try scorer, point scorer, and potentially retire as having played more games than anyone else for your club? He'll likely hold on to every record until the world melts into the sun? He'll probably end up retiring as the ...

It reeks of selfishness. The guy has been paid overs for years and under performed. CNK is already a better fullback than Jack ever was, and the club stood by him for all his troubles and errors. His current salary has been paid on 'potential' - because he now lives up to that potential, he shouldn'...

That blowing the horn gag, the guys were playing on Erin Molan was just an example of how weak Channel 9 football coverage has become. Pardon the pun for using ‘gag’ in this context. I'm all for a new stadium, only due to its location rather than the size of the current place.. Sezer is half for the rest of this season but we are all comfortable that there is an upgrade coming next year. How could anyone be against the idea of Bennett coming here?
Anyone that thinks he left the Knights in a rabble is slightly mentally loose - the TInkler effect was worse than the Bennett effect.
I can't see Ricky stepping aside - I can't see Bennett coming to Canberra - but we could do worse.

Wonderful player, and justly deserved. He had a knack of scoring tries when we needed them too. I remember the 94 Major semi v the Bulldogs when we were a bit off our game and down 14-6 going into half time. Mal comes up with a play out of the blue from 30m out, charges past 4 or 5 blokes and puts ...

Disappointing if I'm honest. Much like the Sezer signing, it's accepting what we've got and not doing much better. This is all pretty cute. I get the Stuart hate - it's an easy target. There has to be some onus on players. There's a reason wh...
