Re: 2024 Rd 2 v Tigers: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*

Hoppa v Cotric is like a modern day iteration of the famous Buttriss v Waddell debates. Everyone picks a side and passionately argues the case as to who is less average. You could probably argue until you’re blue in the face who has the higher ceiling but it is a bit worrying for Nic that even team...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024

I don’t rate him as highly as others but there could be an opportunity to snake Latu Fainu and have an each way bet on the 2 NSW under 20s halves from last season I reckon. Scott Fulton got the ass from Tigers (signed all 3 of the brothers there). He’s been jumped by Galvin and seems the 4th choice...

Re: 2024 Rd 2 v Tigers: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*

Just on Hoppa, I wonder what the forum’s thoughts would be if someone else came into the team and got 166m, 1 try assist,1 line break assist and 2 offloads from centre and whether we wouldn’t be a touch more positive in our reviews of his performance. Most astute viewers won’t let 1 game sway their...

Re: 2024 Rd 2 v Tigers: Teams and Previews

Savage’s finish for his try last week showed you why he has to be in the side. Every single week. Whatever the petty reasons were that saw him excluded for last year cannot counter that pure speed and attacking instinct utilised to convert a half chance. In a side that barely creates clear-cut atta...

Sanders may be next in line and could play in round 2
League players are notorious for carrying and playing through groin injuries. And if Moses was out they’d play Asi. Not Sanders after 2 games of senior football.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024

Why would Parramatta spend up on Sanders when they have Brown and Moses locked in?

It will **** their cap. But more importantly (not their problem though) it **** the competition to do that.

If Sanders has any ambition he knows there’s no genuine role for him at Parramatta for at least 3 seasons.

The bulldogs still suck after buying half a dozen useless utility players. What a surprise. It's a recurring theme. Every year they get talked up because of their recruits. As soon as the comp starts reality kicks in once more. Ditching Sexton for Hutchison and signing Crichton on huge money and pl...

Watching Brimson play center and Lomax wing in this game does my head in.

Brimson has played at Origin standard as a fullback. I understand the center gamble but if Foran is out you have to move him to 6 surely.

Ecstatic about that second half performance. Went the complete opposite of what looked likely. Can’t say a bad word about anyone. Absolutely the best game of controlling footy I’ve seen Fog play. I actually reckon Levi has been close to the best player in green on the park.

No surprises to anyone though the team is an absolute rabble. And it had little to do with the players there is just no structure or coaching whatsoever.

Ricky Stuart was a great of the game. But he’s no coach.

Guler continues to be the most bizarre GH scapegoat I’ve encountered. No, he never became a top tier prop but he wouldn’t be getting paid like one either. Get the rubber ducky out cos old Daney Gagai is going to give Hoppa a bath. I realize he’s a fill in for Kris. But it is a real shame that after Croker retired Morkos opted out and now Hopoate is our first reserve center.

The most important win is Strange though so I’m happy enough.

Kevvie Walters has made a huge mistake releasing Capewell and not signing another second rower. Moving Carrigan to the edge can’t be their contingency having lost Flegler. I don’t think Smith is going back to the middle order. Khawaja will be 38 for next summer. If Smith can average 40+ as an opener (who’d doubt him) then that’s better than 2 new faces at the top in 12 months time.
