Re: Raiders halves since Stuart
I truly believe that's a structure/ management issue. He's either not being coached effectively or he's simply getting out called by Austin and Hodgo. That's one thing I admired about Cronk Smith and Slater. They worked together because that's what great players do: they realise and utilise the gif...

Re: Josh Hodgson out for up to nine months with ACL
When the Cowboys lost Thurston last year, after also losing Matt Scott, everyone wrote them off. Yet there they were in the Grand Final. None of us yet know who may be in the 9 for the Raiders but I certainly won't be writing off season 2018 before a ball is kicked off. Injuries are part of footy. ...

I’m crying but that doesn’t help. So what will we see to start next season?
Sezer, Austo and Williams all in he team? Or does Garvey finally fulfil his potential with a guaranteed starting berth?

Re: Raiders sign Craig Garvey on one year deal
I don’t think it’s an unreasonable conclusion that the squad has become/is becoming weaker from 2016 to 2017 to 2018. Which makes me very concerned about 2018... given the Raiders missed the finals in 2017. The players being retained... well they’re going to have to step up hugely on what they deli...

Re: Raiders sign Craig Garvey on one year deal
weren't they talking about this guy like he was going to be the next young gun superstar out of the dogs at the start of last year? Obviously he turned out to be a bit on the average side. Comes with a few old off field issues as well so I guess he helps our team’s 2018 redemption stories quota as ...

What’s minimum wage these days - 80 odd? So assuming horse and Garvey combined wouldn’t break the 200k mark.
Baptiste must’ve been a chunk more than that and I’m pretty sure we need to fill squad numbers up as well right?

Anyone else notice Dynamic Lui sucking in big ones at the end of the latest vid? he's coming back from a knee reco, at least he has some excuse and is pushing himself I was more surprised that he's back up and running (with us) again. When he went down I'm pretty sure most of us had written him off.

I get that Carney is an idiot and there's a good chance that he might not be able to keep up with the level of footy played in the NRL these days. I think it's depth but not just for form, though this would be a big part of it.
I'm pretty sure there were a number of games this season where Austo or Sezer were carrying niggling injuries and Stick had noone that he could confidently use to give either a spell.

Wait, who on earth said Tedesco/Maloney/Pearce/Peats was better than Slater/Boyd/JT/Cronk/Smith/ the iterations of those greats? Haha. Was it Matt's match ups? To be fair, it's kind of a reality at that level. How does NSW even compete with arguably the best hooker, two of the best halves, 2 or 3 of the best fullbacks cum centre/wings to have ever played the game? I'll give ya the hooker, 2 halves (though both should be gone in 2018), as for 2-3 fullbacks...

Goodbye season 2017. Once again we have led the Panthers deep in the match only to be run down and beaten. For that to happen twice in one year says a lot about the attitude of players in both sides.
