Maybe we could take TPJ as a swap, *if* and only if they're leaving anyway 🤔 Sticky might like his aggression Wasn't TPJ the guy Ricky sacked from Canberra in the first place saying he'll never make first grade? edit: Yep, that won't be happening hahah https://www.sportingnews.com/au/league/news/te...

Re: Canberra Raiders release George Williams immediately
I do believe he didn’t sign the release, as if you wouldn’t say oh - ok - I will go get legal/agent advice I reckon there was a verbal agreement and then the way Hooper spun it “dumped via text” like an imbecile pissed George right off Fair enough too. So many rumours that the reason the club is ang...

Re: Canberra Raiders release George Williams immediately
Credit to the club for putting the player first. They could have played hard ball. I believe we did all we could. This becomes an issue under employment law. If poor old George called in today saying he just can't do it anymore and is on mental health / sick / stress leave there's nothing to be don...

It's kind of irrelevant. You can't say "I intentionally did a chicken wing because he poked me in the eye" as a defence anywaykiwi raider wrote: ↑May 16, 2021, 9:11 am Did hodgson get thompsons fingers in his eye slightly prior to the chicken wing? Looked like it live but havent seen a replay but could be a mitigating factor?

I'm so proud of Josh today.
He is quality, classy, and brilliant.
He looked AMAZING at first receiver.
Hodgson to 7, Williams to England.

Re: Josh Hodgson stands down, Elliott Whitehead appointed co-captain
I honestly believe two things happened. 1) Hodgo isn't playing 80 minutes because we're using Starling to inject some pace for 20-30 minutes 2) He's either the captain and lead playmaker on our side or he's not. It's how he creates our structure and drives crash plays around the ruck which got us to...

Re: Stuart is not the right coach to take us forward
All of that said, I'm sitting comfortably in the cliche. Ricky can only do so much, to me it looks quite obvious that we have players on the field who have been playing for 20 years and have forgotten how to catch, pass, or tackle. There's only so much. Ricky will spill and fill this year, I still b...

Re: Stuart is not the right coach to take us forward
Ricky is not the problem. Genuine question- what is the problem? I honestly think we are stale. Ricky did an amazing job of rebooting us once (Campo, Shillo, etc) and brought in a ton of poms and second rowers. Unfortunately, we're heavy again, Gueler, Horse, Papa, James, they're just too big/heavy...

Re: Ricky Stuart cleared of alleged referee verbal
Surely Ricky on the sidelines is good for rugby league. He's done nothing wrong... people love to see his emotion and love to see him down with the team on the edge of the field. It'd be a great shame if pressure from the NRL has led to the decision. That one really doesn't come across well from St...

Heart breaking loss. Absolutely heart breaking so emotions will be high I try to stay calm at times like this and wonder where the influence is in a 50/50 game.
