Re: 2024 Round 5 v Eels: Game Day
Loved it, although it's hard not think that it should have been 41-0. Schiller is a defensive liability. Sharks did the same **** to him last week (and last year for that matter) Without Schiller we're not scoring 41 points. Without Schiller, they weren't scoring 8. Maika Sivo beating Albert Hopoat...

Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Teams and Previews
Also, how good is it to see some free-flowing attacking movement? It’s interesting, we’re now suddenly executing these lovely sweeping backline plays, and it’s essentially all players who were here last season, like Levi to Tapine to Fogarty to Rapana to Timoko, even though we were repeatedly told ...

If Schiller has to be dropped the only player that should possibly come in for him is Chevy Stewart.

Re: 2024 Round 5 v Eels: Game Day
Yeah Hopoate sucks in defence. I can cop those wanting the boring and safe play calling for Cotric who is a good defender but Hopoate is not. The only things Hopoate is better at than Schiller is maybe physically tackling, handling on tough carries and obviously yardage metres. Has him covered in ev...

Re: 2024 Round 5 v Eels: Game Day
The Schiller conundrum is very similar to early Manly career Jason Saab. Some poor defence. Too many errors. But rather than punting him for a safe 5/10 winger they perservered, toughened him up in first grade and now reap the benefits when he’s fit. On his day he’s unbelievable. It’s Schiller all o...

Re: 2024 Round 5 v Eels: Game Day
That is the dumbest rule …. Total novelty… Fogarty comes up with entertaining footy and shows class, in earning a repeat set. And the **** NRL decide to give the opposition team a line drop out on their own terms and if they stuff it up, they don’t even get penalised. **** off. Agree 100% It’s rewa...

Re: 2024 Round 5 v Eels: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Just on this game: Stuart desperately needs to split Tapine and Papalii. Depending on our start there’s even an opportunity to split them even more if we start well by shifting Mariota into the middle after 20 to separate our best props further. I actually like the idea of starting Mariota on the ed...

Re: 2024 Round 5 v Eels: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I think Galvin’s situation is much murkier They’ve paid top dollar for a LH in Laui, they’ve over paid a young bloke in Fainu who is a right half and Galvin doesn’t look like a primary kicker to me so far but it’s way too early there too. We know Luai isn’t a good primary kicker though I said it a ...

Re: Fog Mostly he's been good, really good so far this year. He wasnt great tonight but i think that's just about his limitations. We're not talking about a top 8-10 half here There is a reason the club is going hard at Sanders. That’s generous Bot. There’s probably only 1 or 2 halfbacks in the com...

Re: 2024 Round 4 v Sharks: Game Day
The biggest problem with the actual team (that realistically can fight for the 8 at best) is that they rolled over from 18-0 up. Yes I know that’s obvious. Fog will never win a premiership. Rapana is a fill in. Etc etc. But the team needs the best selections and the best future players presented. An...

Re: 2024 Round 4 v Sharks: Game Day
I love what Morgan Smithies does defensively, he works so hard and does a lot to cover up holes around that area... and im willing to give him time, it took the other english exports time id like to see where he's at in 3-4 weeks time... but with the ball in hand, he's going to have to develop an o...

The player Canberra missed most in that deplorable loss; Emre Guler. Canberra had the pack mismatch and Horsburgh and Saulo **** the bed. The mistakes across the board were gross. Re: 2024 Round 4 v Sharks: Game Day
That was a disgraceful performance. We needed to win in the middle, and instead allowed the likes of Mcinnes and Williams to make us look silly. Embarrassing. Can I ask you to take a step back and consider when Canberra won and then started to lose the middle? Who was on? Who left the field? Who ca...

I dont think there is a lot to say about individual performances today Trying to pin a **** show like that on 3-4 blokes is a fools errend and lets the other 13 odd blokes off the hook. Origin forward on the move? Which former State of Origin front-rower could be heading for a warmer climate - and soon! Beyond wanting a strong win. I have everything crossed that Schiller just has an absolute stormer. Having blokes in each wing spot who can score long range tries is an absolute must given our centres are arguably our biggest strength.

Honestly think Whitehead is a bigger issue than Croker was. The difference between him and Hosking at edge forward is monumental.
