I don't think there's an issue with Stuart's standards per se, it's just in coaching ability he can't hold a candle to Bellamy.
That's the key issue here. You can be grumpy with players all you want.

Re: Through green eyes 2024
I'd be tempted to run Schiller at centre and Strange at half just so you don't need to muck around with your spine at the start of the season. Kind of the tail wagging the dog if you're changing your halves to solve a single match issue in the 3/4 line. So if Kaeyo does run out at #6 that might mea...

Yeah, there’s been some pretty disgusting takes here and in the game day thread on a player who is genuinely having a go.Seiffert82 wrote:Yeah, some hot takes here on poor ol Jed.

Re: Canberra Raiders team for 2024
I’ll have a go for the editor: * overly compressed defensive line allowing wingers to go around untouched. * throwing excessive crash balls in good position * not knowing the rules of the game and putting a foot over the dead ball line after catching it. So a few errors were made when our B grade s...

Re: Through green eyes 2024
Good writeup, Ferg. I think you've pretty much nailed the Round 1 team, although I think Mariota might just get the jump on Guler. Surprised you didn't discuss the Xavier Savage wing much, I think that position is still up for grabs and don't be surprised if Hopoate edges him out... but hopefully so...

Re: 2024 Rd 1 v Knights: Teams and Previews
I still think the answer at dummy-half is Woolford starting and Puru spelling him for 20 min or so in the middle from 14, but that plan also involves Puru getting some serious Number 9 development under his belt in NSW Cup. Good shout. Keen to see how our NSW cup coach goes in that development role...

Good shout. Keen to see how our NSW cup coach goes in that development role. Seems like a good addition to the ranks. I'm also keen to see how Giteau will add to and hopefully improve our A-Grade coaching ranks, particularly around attack. Do you have any thoughts on what his impact could be? His N...

Jed is a good young bloke, a good footy player. He’s not been put on any fast track to join the top 30. The coach and club have shown they have very clear eyes on this. Jackson a good young player too, but he didn’t make it. If anything Jed will have to clear higher hurdles than others to make it t...

It's not that they aren't creative, it's that they uniquely play without anything resembling a Rugby League attacking structure. I mean Penrith aren't creative they just execute basic plays well and every player in the Raiders would know how to run those same plays already. They are told not to bec...

Ok great. I guess now we’ll see what the coach does here. A big part of me thinks he was planning to run with Weekes at 6 and he’ll do that regardless of the trials.
Really hope I’m wrong, but he’s nothing if not stubborn.
