Re: 2024 Rd 1 v Knights: Teams and Previews *Teams p1
The only glaring issue for me given the trials is Hoppa. Would have liked to see something slightly different, but great to see Tapine captain and Savage on the wing. I only hope when Kris comes back Hoppa is not shifting to the wing.

Great little player. You put that ability and creativity in a body like Schneiders and he's already playing first grade.

Re: 2024 Rd 1 v Knights: Teams and Previews
Reckon we’ve done it before. There was that recent Broncos game where we were all over them and just couldn’t win the damn game. It was a broncos match wasn’t it? Now I’m furious again! I'm still bitter about 2016. 14-0 up against the Gallenless sharks. Busted as North QLD waiting for us. That was ...

Re: 2024 Rd 1 v Knights: Teams and Previews
It’s a real tough argument to win to say we play a style that works in big games, when we didn’t win any big games… We play conservative and tough. It’s percentage football, and we have a quality pack, so it does play to our strengths. It keeps us in games but it has its limits for sure. Namely big...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
Seeing a few predicted 17 man teams, and Niukore from the warriors being behind Ford and Capewell Not sure i buy that but in a circumstance where Niukore does come off the bench, he's a guy i think is really quite good and could suit us as an edge forward to replace EW. Just a name to keep an eye o...

Anybody see the recent David McWilliams podcast on the rise of Robert F Kennedy? Super interesting stuff here and could chuck a real spanner in the 2024 US Elections. Puru played first receiver for a little bit out there today. And looked great…. Looks to be a solid backup. Good player. Can't see him getting much time in 1st grade this season unless there are injuries. I reckon if he was playing on the wing he wouldn’t have let Feldt run around him four times Wh...

Lunar New Year? What's that, dubs? It's similar to Australia day Nickman. On Australia day skinheads and bogan Australians roam the streets draped in their Australian flag, exposing their Southern Cross tattoos and intimidate and harrass people who aren't white. On Chinese New Year, those damn Chin...

I'm sure someone mentioned Savage was training at fullback and wing during pre-season but I can't find the source (poster and fogarty in a video). Only recently it was mentioned Savage had spent a lot of time on the wing, which still indicates he wasn't only on the wing.

At least Levi looks good in cup. Hopoate is looking at Kris at fullback and thinking "what if he was also less explosive and couldn't catch bombs".

Anyone got access to the article? The last sentence; If the fullbacks do well I’ll chuck Rapana on the wing? Fullbacks plural… Stewart and Burt…. It says if either Hopoate or Stewart play well they will get the starting fullback role and that all three have trained at fullback in the offseason. So ...

Jack Cole and Brad Schneider are the current back ups. I think a more panthers target would be signing Jonah Pezet. Melbourne aren't moving on from Munster/Hughes any time soon.

Resting the round 1 fullback and our only halfback is a good move. Watching Hoppa lay down on the ground to catch his bombs is going to make the first 20 a hard watch.

Brendan Piakura is a truly exceptional second row talent. Egan Butcher and Teig Wilton not as good but big wraps through their junior years and into first grade. I'm ok with our backrow after seeing the trial, Sasagi and Noah Martin showed that with another year under their belts there's real promise. Sent from my SM-S911B using Tapatalk Yes.
