Re: Coaching issues
I also don't think attributing 'good' attack years (points scored) to Ricky's good coaching is entirely objective either. Looks how we scored most of those points - was it structured attack based on a targetted game plan to exploit opposition weaknesses, or lucky crash-ball plays coupled with sheer...

Re: Coaching issues
Which players have gone backwards since joining the raiders? That's the way you judge coaches/the impact of anything. Take a snapshot before, baseline. Then measure the improvement, the affect. Let's be reasonable here. Ricky haters, tell us, who's gone backwards? I'm not a "Ricky hater",...

Re: A new Canberra Stadium
Taxpayers are actually the people who pay! So asking them how much they’d like to see spent on a stadium is pretty relevant. They’re Commonwealth and Territory voters and taxpayers as well. Recently we’ve helped pay for a stadium in Townsville and about to fork out for one in Hobart. Maybe this jur...

Re: Coaching issues
It's absolutely ludicrous that people keep trying to paint our issues in attack over the last 10 years as merely personnel problems rather than inherently bad coaching and systems. CNK is the prime example of this, there's really not much else to be said that hasn't been said already. There's also ...

Re: Coaching issues
What is this ideal 'attacking structure' that everyone is referring to? I think many people confuse a backline that plays with depth as some sort of magical attacking structure. That's can be effective if you have elite speed on both sides of the field, but not so much if your centres are powerful ...

So I have to subscribe to participate in the survey…. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pretty sure there are no consequences if you don’t. Or if you do. Precisely. Let's ask the punters where they want a stadium and how much 'they' are willing to pay for it...and for good measure whether they thi...

Re: Coaching issues
To some extent, which brings me to my one criticism over the dummy half selection and interchange issues. The recruitment of Hodgo transformed this club for a period, and we'll never know the full impact of the serious injuries to Trevilyan. That aside, it's an issue that will hopefully be resolved ...

Re: Coaching issues
Other than the Levi/Starling situation, Stuart is nailing his job this season IMO.
He's keeping a cool head and allowing his young players to come in with quite a simple game plan.

Re: Canberra Raiders make new offer to Eels half Ethan Sanders
While we have no real control here, Fog's injury now means the Eels would be simply blocking Sanders' NRL pathway if they held onto him. It would be interesting to know who Sanders' manager is. Often they have a bit of leverage depending on who their other clients are. Sent from my CPH2021 using Tap...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Teams and Previews
The young Raider set to replace injured Fogarty Jamal Fogarty still has to get scans, but the Canberra Raiders medical staff are pretty sure the halfback has ruptured his biceps. That will see Raiders coach Ricky Stuart name Kaeo Weekes in the No.7 jersey this week. I'm going to put Kaeo to seven,&...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Teams and Previews
I thought Sasagi did an admirable job, but that right hand side in defence was all over the shop and Timoko suffered for it. In many respects it's just the nature of bringing almost an entirely new team together and expecting it to be cohesive from the get go. It's not going to happen. The injuries ...

That's quite the injury list.
Weekes seems to be the only viable option for the halves. These kids are now on a pretty steep learning curve.

The Broncos scored 5 tries in 20 minutes. Other than that it was a pretty competitive game.
The hooker situation needs to be resolved.

An eminently forgettable game.
Some really good efforts from many players combined with some bad errors, bad luck and the injury to Fogs.
Really tough game. Proud of that second half effort.

When Chevy threw the near intercept pass that OATES KNOCKED ON.. Why did the Broncos get the ball ? It was ruled a forward pass Yet it wasn't. There's no way that pass was forward. Like the strip on Jensen that was just a loose carry. Just one of those games. A few bad errors and Brisbane are all o...

Sandon Smith from the chooks is a guy I'd be keen to pursue as a 9. It’s spelled and pronounced “Brandon”. Different player mate. He's definitely the type of player we should keep an eye on, although he's signed until the end of 2026. The Roosters definitely want to hold onto him. Sent from my CPH2...
