Re: 2024 Round 5 v Eels: Teams and Previews
To add to the above, what I can't understand is why we aren't developing Puru for that hooker/lock hybrid 14 role. He has the skillset to be much better at this type of role than Havili for example, who one could argue was almost the pioneer for it in the current era. His service from dummy half ca...

Re: 2024 Round 5 v Eels: Teams and Previews
Levi isn’t getting dropped on that game He was one of our better players, which is an admittedly low bar to clear but even I couldn’t complain about Levi retaining his spot I’d like to see Woolford come in for Starling so we can get a look at what this team looks like with Woolford But starling has ...

Re: Raiders to lodge complaint over Sharks trainer
That incident was popping off on my group chats
I was too annoyed at the level of football we were playing to be too concerned about it in the moment but I think it’s a fair complaint
Trainer has no business being in a position where he could adversely impact the goal kicker

Re: 2024 Round 5 v Eels: Teams and Previews
Stick in the past has allowed the players to redeem themselves But he has also dropped a high profile player to make a statement He made a comment the NSW cup boys didn't play well either. It will be interesting to see what he does. I think when Stuart has the time to watch that cup game again, i t...

Re: The Politics Thread 2024
When i say the maths is pretty straight forward, i mean you can cut it up however you like, it'll look different pending how you do it, may be not look AS bad as it does with that simple comparison but there is no question that the end conclusion would be housing prices has dramatically outstripped ...

From Stick's epic facepalm over Savage I will be incredibly surprised if he is in the 17. I think Stuart will keep him. I wont be shocked if he doesn't but i *think* he'll keep him but it will be made loud and clear in the video sessions and in discussions, that any more of that **** will see him d...

Or you are selling the story of. You know how you won the u19 series last year. Would you like to play with 3/4 of that spine and see where you can go. There is also a direct passage to FG if you are good enough. Oh also here is a bunch of cash as well. 100%... its a clear run to FG, it's a **** to...

Your story has not a lot to do with the differences housing market though. Like saying the housing market is **** doesnt invalidate your story and mean you didnt work for what you have. Re: Parramatta Eels still hoping to hold onto Raiders target Ethan Sanders
I’d say Penrith is the perfect fit for him. They need a left sided half to replace Luai. All he needs to do is distribute the ball to their outside backs. Cleary will take the pressure off him and they have a good spine. Yeo can also ball play. They have the best forward pack and he won’t need to m...

So are we 100% sure he’s signed with us. I know media are reporting it. I just hate to be disappointed. He might sign with the dogs or other teams who need a half back. The club is very confident he'll come, the money we're offering is an amount that few could or would match. But until the contract...

Galvin and Luai both being secondary LH’s is somewhat of a redundancy I’m not familiar enough with Galvin’s game to know if he could switch over RH And they’ve got the young Fainu kid who they paid big money to who is a RH So I think there is fit issues there but they’ve got some good young players ...

Yeah i picked up on that also but wasnt sure if that was legit Was going to do some googling to figure out if thats a rule... never heard of it before Thought he was very good today in a beaten team... as GE said, he had a hand in 3 tries and score one himself. He looked very comfortable at that lev...

Agreed
The words are optics
I don’t particularly give a **** about optics
If he wanted leave and come here I could t care less if he knocked us back before, and I don’t much care what he says in a presser
I very much agree it’s all moot and I can’t see any reason he’d opt out

Overawed in NSW cup, right.... like I said, lets leave it there. Oh well we’ll watch him today - he is on Fox. Based on what I’ve seen thus far he doesn’t look ready at reserve grade level let alone pushing first grade anytime soon. Halfbacks are just different propositions. Outside of say true cha...

There are a lot fullbacks are built similarly and are prone to the same thing... Walsh, Ponga, Sloan, Pap... to some extent Drinky, Kennedy, the Hammer etc are all slighter frames who have to play a certain way to protect them from being big boy'd

I’ve got some great news actually
Just occurred to me that I’m going to be overseas for the next 3 games
The raiders are 10/11 in games when I’m in another country over the last 4-5 years
We’re about to get this season back on track

Stuart likes to give his favoured 17 chances to redeem themselves after poor performances. I’d like to see him do the same here. Leave the backline as is We’re going to have to have EW recover from his calf to replace hosking so that’s a forced change And I think given how poor the middle performed...

I agree. After a performance like that, you review everything in the lead up. Including coaching plans and training schedules, game plans, everything. However, that performance was out of skip with what we have delivered this season. Certain players were horrible and the overall team didn't perform...

Ricky in presser admits we lost to 2nd grade team.. blames individuals.. not himself ofcourse. He's holding the players to accountability Was it Ricky who was lazy or Savage? Watching Savage in tackles, I think he's dropping the ball because he's flailing about with his arms. I don't think it's poor handling per se, he just needs to submit in the tackle Rapa had the same issue until he started putting his body between defender and ball. Rapa is an animal for putting his...

Hudson Young needs to understand he’s on the Refs tip sheet, for pushes, strips, hold downs, face pushes, step off the mark, etc. He needs to focus on avoiding anything the refs are going to call him out on. He’s not helping himself or the team by playing without enough control of his mind or his m...

2 - Levi
1 - Strange
A bad week, few good contributors tbh but i thought those three were our best. Levi is worth highlighting as a player i've been very critical of who i thought was good tonight. Credit where it's due.
