On the left right halves maybe he was seeing how Kaeo works as a right half with strange as a Burton type centre.

Re: Canberra Raiders team for 2024

If Strange isn't selected at 5/8 he's our second or third best centre behind Timoko and maybe Kris. Certainly by the end of the year. He just needs some pace beside him. He reminds me of Jamie Lyon. Gee that’s a stiff take for Kris. Seb Kris has shown he’s a very, very good centre over the last 2/3...

He plays second row and Whitehead plays as the forward utility off the bench.

You don’t need 5 props with an 80 minute lock.

Guler has never done it for me tbh. Today he was again ... at-best ... loafing with no leg speed. I thought Cotric played himself back into a spot. The most complicated one of all for me was holy moly Ethan looked so small, he looked like the perfect halfback bodyshape I dunno what we do there. Eth...

Oh but i also want to say, i think Sanders didnt have his best game over all but his kicking game was really impressive. The most important thing is that Hopoate is the last on every list. Wing: Rapana, Cotric, Savage, Asumoa, Schiller all much better. Centre: Timoko, Kris, Schiller, Rapana, Hosking, (any warm body) all much better. Fullback: Stewart, Savage, Kris, Weekes, Rapana all much better. Albert shouldn’t be s...

For the people wrapping Strange’s defence did they not see the misses, getting pushed off too easily, not locking in with his inside defender and some poor positioning. Now this is absolutely not a shot at him. He’s a young guy who looks like he will develop into a good player. But his defence look...

Rapana, Cotric, Savage, Asomua, Schiller are all far and away better than Hopoate. Hoppa shouldn’t even be considered unless something drastic happens and only one of them is available. Strange's kicking game is pathetic. Looks like a baby giraffe trying to kick a footy. Weekes has a better kick (hell Starling has a better kicking game) Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk Pathetic is harsh. He’s wearing 7 but he’s a running 6 or centre. It just has to be passable in that role.

Only halfway through the first meaningless trial but my main takes are the obvious ones: - only 3 players in the entire squad capable of playing second row at NRL level - Morkos leaving has hurt us on the back of Croker retiring. He's good depth. Or he should be. But he played 22 FG games last season. I think that's why people worry Mooney hasn't re-signed yet. If Saulo is an average fringe first grader and Mooney can’t take his spot in the 17, that might say more about Mooney than Saulo or Ricky. It might. Or it might be a...

He’d be almost the perfect second rower to play on Fogarty’s side. There’s no point having a non creative line runner outside of a half with no ball playing ability.
